Super Mario Boo's Mansion Kids Halloween Hide-and-Seek Game with 10 Figurines and Accessories

The idea of the advent calendar is genius!

I got these figure as a nice Halloweeny addition to my figures. These are a steal for only $20!! However, there are some things I don’t like. 1. Peach. Just the figure itself is significantly lower quality than the rest. Her face is misprinted, and you can clearly see the crappy plastic work if you look under her dress *smirk*. 2. The stands. I lost Luigi’s stand virtually instantly. If you still have the stand I H I G H L Y suggest putting a dab of superglue on the tip and gluing it on. 3. Packaging. Some of the figures and accessories are v e r y hard to get out. Have scissors at the ready!Overall this is very good, there ar exist some things I don’t really like.

not worth it, overpriced

We had so much fun with this. While we did not do the whole party element with people watching us unbox, we had a great time just on a normal day when the kids had done a great job, having a special treat of opening up each of the flaps to see what was inside.A glow-in-the-dark boo, another boo, both with movable arms, a skeleton for around the plant and a dry bones were the highlights for us in this set. The Princess peach, also was detailed to an extent I have never seen on any of our other Princess peach figures. Usually they just fill in and under her skirt with solid plastic, and this one they gave her legs, undershorts, and high-heeled shoes underneath her dress so it is much more of a realistic figure than usual. I think either Mario or Luigi, needed a little plastic stand to be able to stand up and not just topple over. I would've appreciated a little more design on those guys so that they could be played with without an additional little clear plastic stand.The flap opening and unveiling of the characters was a lot of fun. The characters were almost impossible in some cases to get out of the container without completely destroying the entire packaging, so my kids had to be flexible to wait until we were done opening all the flaps, then tear open the packaging to be able to push from the back and get some of those characters out. However, they were definitely firmly and securely packaged in there and were not going anywhere or getting damaged with those vacuum formed spots to sit.Overall this was a lot of fun, and with the excellent quality of the figures, made for a very special and memorable gifting event to the kids.

We're HUGE Super Mario fans around here. Have been since the beginning back in the 80's. Our kids are now big fans too. The figurines in here alone are pretty cool. They're small, but nicely detailed. As for the rest...eh. What kind of weird party is it to invite your friends to virtually open doors that aren't meant to be re-closed (this is perforated cardboard, not plastic, once ripped open that's it) and no actual objective? The "game" is boring. If you allow guests to take a figure home you then lose a collection which may or may not matter depending on the person.At first glance my kids got excited thinking some costumes were in the box. They of course are not, and I knew that, but just an average kid seeing it for the first time can easily make that mistake. We have Mario costumes around but not everyone does and the box design really does look like you are buying a game and dress up party.We tried to play it as-is and were quickly bored. I still feel like calling this a game is over reaching and the invites really miss the point. No included costumes, you assume guests are all Mario fans with costumes, and they open cardboard that has probably already been ripped open.They could have done something cool with these figures. Even a Chutes N' Ladders or Candy Land type game would be neat.Bottom line if you are collector you'll likely enjoy these. If you are a casual Mario fan wanting a replay board game this will disappoint.

My eleven-year-old son is a little bit bummed about Halloween being "cancelled" this year. My wife and I decided that we weren't comfortable with trick-or-treating, or with handing out Halloween candy, due to escalating Covid cases in our area, so we're going to stay in this year and watch Halloween movies and play games. My son is acutely aware of Covid and how to stay safe during this time, but it still breaks my heart to see him lose another fun part of his childhood due to this out of control disease. This Advent Calendar-type set has been a great way to give him a little of that Halloween fun back. He's not really interested in the invitations, but the simple act of having a calendar door to pop open every day in the run up to Halloween has given him something to look forward to each morning, the way he usually looked forward to Halloween night. This set is worth it just for the figures, which my son has been crazy about. He's having a great time opening it up every day, and it has made me very happy to see HIM so happy.
