Outstanding knife from Combative Edge!
I picked this knife up recently for a fixed blade. I did some research on line prior to purchase and the reviews were good and even great. The big thing about the knife is the handle is very similar to a Steve Woods custom made Hide Figher. The handle is very close and research Steve Woods helped in the design of this. I think the mix of Combative Edge and Steve Woods make a great duo. The handle is spot on for several different grip options including saber, reverse, and ice pick. The blade steel is N690 and all the information I have been able to research indicate that the steel can hold a great edge and ease of sharpening. The coating of the blade adds additional protection from the elements. I have not seen anything yet that has prevented me from resharpening and touching up the edge. I have a used a belt sharpener and a the Spyderco sharp maker. Touch up has a been great, and I look forward to sometime adding another knife in this steel. The sheath options are outstanding with this knife. Carry options include; belt carry, thigh carry (with nylon straps) MOLLE compatible, and even IWB (inside waist band). I am thinking of trying to purchase another sheath so I can keep one on the war belt and the other for different modes of carry. I plan on updating this review once I have been able to run the knife through some more paces, but it has served me to well to date and I don't see that changing.

I couldn't complain about this knife if I tried. I've taken it on a couple of backbacking trips now and it's just been fantastic. It's lightweight, it's sharp out of the box, it's THE most comfortable knife I own, and everything about it and the sheath screams quality. I screwed up and tried to scrub some sap off with a scouring pad and rubbed some of the DLC coating off - oops. That was entirely my fault though, as it would have been fine with some dish soap. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again if I needed a replacement. If you have the money and want something great then you're going to love this.
