Works great! Needed two coats but I brushed it on a small wall for a chalkboard wall for my kids hallway! They love it!

I have tried many different finishes. I always come back to poly, and I always come back to Minwax.This works like it is supposed to work. I can easily create a matte finish with steel wool and mineral spirits.I have always had problems with this and other finishes drying out before I was done. I have completely solved that by shooting a bit of Bloxygen into the can before sealing it, then storing the can upside down.I dilute the finish by 40% to make a near wiping varnish.

Super easy to apply. I used a 4 inch synthetic brush. Easy peasy. All that was done to this bartop was i sanded it...I burned it with a weed burner...and I applied one coat to it. Makes for a nice finish. Someone in here gave it a one star review because it turned their grey floor espresso and their other floor a different color. I have to point out. It says to try the product on a small test piece of wood. They went and finished their entire floor with the stuff and then complained about it.... hundreds of square feet of flooring. 😂😂😂 . Like ..within a foot u should see that maybe that's not the result you want. Haha. I wish I could comment on their review. Anyways. Excellent product. Highly recommend. The picture of the board on the ground is after burning before applying the poly.

Used to finish my Blue Pine boxes. The minwax poly is easy to work with. It dries quickly. I used foam brushes for each application. It requires 3 coats but is worth every penny. I used for 6 boxes and still had 1/3 of the can left. Bought a second quart for more projects.
