Warne M902/876 Two Piece Bases Rem 700 Matte

I purchased these bases to go with the all-steel Warne rings on my Weatherby Vanguard. These are a perfect match for the corresponding rings and are designed to mate up properly with minimal clearance. Along with the matching rings, these bases form a rock-solid mount capable of withstanding the heaviest recoil. The machining appears perfect and the slot for the ring crossbar is machined to very close tolerance to mate properly with the Warne rings. I have this mount on two different rifles and have found nothing to detract from their design usage. The only potential point of concern would be the weight of the complete mount. These are machined from steel, so they are on the heavy side. You probably would not want to install them on a lightweight, low-recoiling rifle that didn't need the additional security provided by steel mounts. These are excellent mounts, beautifully machined and finished. I think they are one of the strongest mounts available and represent a good value for the person who wants or needs the best.

The title really says it all. These are a great value for a solid steel scope base that is Made in USA. I do wish a Torx wrench were provided, but there was one in the package with the Warne rings I ordered so no real problem there. Overall, a great product from a great company!

I have used these mounts on rifles other than the Remington 700 and they work great. I have used one piece picatinny rails on different rifles, but the two piece mounts always make for a cleaner and sleeker appearance. These also allow easier access to magazine and action than most one piece rails. Plus makes for a lighter setup where weight is a bit of concern. I prefer steel over aluminum but I do use aluminum also in certain applications. I use these types of bases and rails as I use often use the type of rings with inserts to protect scopes from getting scratched up.

As soon as you take this out of the plastic container, you will see the quality construction and steel. Extremely well-milled and precise, these mounts will fit your rifle perfectly. Put mine on a Rem 700 VS that we use to shoot 300yrds+. Rock sold. Use some red thread lock on the screws in my opinion - tho others may disagree.

As a gun dealer, I frequently purchase different mounts for installing scopes. For the Remington 700 CDL SF these worked well. The front mount needed to be positioned backwards with the slot in the rear to accommodate a 50mm objective lens. Only reason for 4 stars is the instructions really are not the best. Comes with 2 different size screws, but does not indicate which to use where. Just from my experience, I used the shorter screws on the the rear mount, and the longer on the front. Overall, great mount for the price!

These are Weaver style and fit my Eliminator III perfectly. So far is holding true after several trips to the range.
