Stanley - Pick & Hook Set (4Pc) (82-115)

PRO: 1. Sharp and strong. 2. Stanley Brand. 3. Many different uses for these, mark, scrape, poke, punch, grab, retrieve, etc. you never know what you'll use them for until you need them. CON: 1. A bit smaller than I'd hoped for, I knew the size when I ordered, but thought I'd see how it goes. 2. Strong, but maybe brittle at the same time, we'll see. OTHER: 1. Nice set. 2. Will come in handy when the time comes, and are easy to store and maintain. Can sharpen if needed I'm sure. 3. I mainly bought this for the straight punch, use that for poking holes in materials, marking drill points, etc. etc.

Good quality pick set for the price. Stanley may not have the huge reputation like snap on, matco, or even craftsman, but they make a good quality hand tools. When i started out as an auto tech, a lot of my hand tools were Stanley. I got a big kit of sockets, wrenches, nutdrivers, etc. For very cheap. I still have a lot of those tools 10 years later, and they work like they did the first day i owned them. Recommended if you're looking for cheap tools of excellent quality.

I use these stupid things a lot - I bought them for one project. They worked fine. Now I find that I use them all the time for the most random thing. Awesome addition to a tool set. Quality is about what you would expect for what you are paying.

I’ve had this set for a few years now. I’ve used them for the intentional uses. I’ve used them for tasks I’m sure they weren’t meant or designed for. They have worked for both. The only slight con to them is they are a little thin in the metal. That said they are picks. Don’t use them as pry bars and they will last as long as you need them I’m sure. Pretty good price as well. If you need a good basic set of picks for your money they are hard to beat.

There are some projects that you just have to have a weird tool for, and these are the tools. I work on a lot of computers and this tool set is what I was missing. When I work on laptops, the little hook tool allows me to connect and disconnect the tiny adapters without breaking them. Sometimes they allow you to cheat by removing the part without completely opening the whole laptop.

I needed to take apart my car dash board, and this was a great help to accomplish that. The handles have a nice grip, and they feel durable enough to last me for years. I would buy these again.
