Perfect fit for MS Surface Pro 5
I recently purchased a used Surface Pro 5 laptop. I have an iPad I use most of the time as a hand held device. I wanted a Windows touch screen product to use the same way I use my Windows desktop. When this computer came along at a good price, I snapped it up. Like the iPad this device is capable but awkward to use as a hand held device without an accessory to make it hand holdable. I bought this case to solve that issue. The case is sturdy and fits the Surface Pro 5 perfectly. It offers protection to your computer in case you drop it. It comes with an adjustable hand holder on the back which rotates 360 degrees with stops at every quarter position so you can rotate your screen from horizontal to vertical. The strap on the back uses Velcro to make it adjust to your hand size. There is a pop up stand so you can use the computer to watch movies or whatever hands free. It comes with a shoulder strap if you wish to use it. All in all I am very satisfied with this case. There doesn’t seem to be a wide selection of these kinds of cases out there with protection for the device and a mechanism for using it as a hand held. This fits the bill. One potential negative I have found. The part on the back that holds the Velcro strap is a disk with slits in it for the strap. While the piece is a rugged plastic those slits are susceptible to breaking over time making the strap feature useless without good glue and a creative jerry-rig.

Perfect if you need what it does.
It's not quite what I need, but that's not the fault of the product. It's sturdy, fits well, and looks like it would be great protection for the Surface Pro 7. The swivel handle on the back makes it so much easier to hold and work with the tablet -- esp while walking around. It feels much lighter when you hold it from the center and not from the edge. That said, this is a HEAVY case. I didn't weigh it, but it feels at least as heavy as the Surface Pro -- maybe heavier. So, the two combined make this a very heavy thing to lug around. Also, I bought my Surface Pro because I wanted the convenience of a 2 in 1. But you can't attach the keyboard with this cover on the tablet. Again, not the fault of the product or seller -- that was clearly stated in the description. But, putting the cover on and taking it off is NOT a quick or easy process and thus not at all practical for switching between tablet and laptop modes with any frequency. So, I'll hang onto it for when I need tablet mode for an extended period. But, it won't be something I use daily.Again I want to be clear... I have no complaints about the product. It deserves the 5 stars I gave it. I'm just offering my experience to help others decide if it's a good fit for the way they intend to use their Surface Pro.

Heavy.
Certainly feels incredibly durable and doesn't cover up any part of the screen. The bad: The thing is heavy and thick. It makes the tablet awkward to hold for long periods and is a challenge for putting it on any kind of clamp holder. The back strap can be used to secure it onto a clamp holder, but it prevents the tablet from being able to be laid flat on any surface while facing up. I've personally modified mine by removing the strap and replacing it with fabric store elastic, which essentially solves the problem.I also had to modify a lap pillow I use for it in much the same way, by attaching elastic around it that can secure the tablet to the pillow at the bottom, because the bulkiness of the tablet even with the strap removed prevents it from fitting well onto the lap-pillow lip.I have yet to drop test it, but here's hoping I never do.

Snug Fit!
I use my Surface tablet as a wireless mixer platform for my band and needed a rubberized protective case for what can be a messy environment. This case fits snugly and gives me a feeling of confidence when carrying my tablet. I would buy again.

Better Than Expected
We use our MS Surface to do inventory in our stores and needed a handheld case. The case is better than expected. It functions better than cases that cost hundreds! It is heavy duty - but yes it makes the surface heavier. It was easy to install and start using immediately. What I really like about this case is that it has a stand as well. Some of the other cases have a handle but not a stand. The case allows for easy charging, a secure pen holder and heavy duty strap. To our surprise, we can hang the surface around our neck with it facing up allowing for hands free operations. We can scan items with on hand and use our fingers or pen to work on the tablet - hands free! We will definitely buy another one for our stores.

May be better suited to the Surface
First, the instructions were written by someone who invented it. They seem to think the average toddler could Macgyver that thing while eating their chickie nuggies. If the written instructions were bad, the photos were worse. I'd bet they were taken on a 70s Polaroid Zip camera then scanned into Publisher98 where the Congealed Oatmeal filter was applied. Useless. The Actual Assembly: The silicone back is held in place by very thin rubber strings which must be replaced under clips in the top plastic cover before it clicks back into bottom tray. It requires some force. The pulling causes the front frame and tray to freely scoot around while you master 4 new dexterity skills and apologize to your upstairs neighbor for all the cussing and shouting. The whole adventure ate >30 min of my life.Practicality: One of their promo photos is of a little girl joyfully running through an airport with this beast around her neck. Don't let your kid do that. It's pretty heavy. My own grownup arm got tired after 2-3 minutes so out comes the kickstand. I already have a kickstand case w/cover that I love, so I'm putting it back on. Great use of 3.7 seconds.
