Zero egg white loss
No matter how much I've tried to minimize my egg white loss over the last 8 thousand years of poaching eggs, I've always felt ripped off when you're counting protein numbers. This thing here, well, it's beautiful!! I've always been under the impression that the egg needed to be submerged in water for poaching.*Follow the instructions*After reading the instructions, I use my index finger with a tiny bit of butter to coat the inside of the egg cup. When the eggs are done to my liking, the included spatula makes it too easy to get the eggs onto the plate. The eggs never actually go into the water, which was the most difficult thing for me to get my head wrapped around, that was how my great grandma did it, there could be no other way :)The egg cup plate has vent holes in it, allowing the steam to come through to cook from the top, the boiling water under the cups cook from below. Clean-up is super easy.My only regret is that it took me this long to find this product. Never again will I experience egg white loss!!

Great egg poacher!
I don’t normally leave product reviews but this item was worthy. Especially at the price. The skillet for the poacher is much heavier then I thought it would be and the egg trays with their little handles make removing the eggs from the poacher (without oven mits) a breeze. I won’t lie, I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this poacher. A bit of oil in the trays and the cooked eggs slipped right out. The end result was perfectly poached eggs for Eggs Benedict. Four eggs took 2-3 minutes to cook with perfectly runny yolks. If you don’t like runny yolks, add another minute or 2. A+++

Well Designed, Well Made
I've had several egg poach pans. Each had one or more of these problems: 1) Cups too small, 2) cups not removable, 3) egg sticking to cups and 4) difficult to clean, 5) bulky and awkward to store, 6) scorched fingers, 7) cups rock/roll, not stable, 8) cups touch water, 9) the cups must be removed from the boil one-at-a-time (awkward and typically using some utensil). This set addresses each of these, even if the solution is not perfect. The set is either stainless or non-stick coated, no rust. The cups are removable from the rack and have a flat bottom so they are stable enough to set on the counter, or leave in the rack, for adding the raw eggs and seasoning. Cups are large enough for XL eggs (and probably for jumbo). The rack is tall enough to hold the cups above the boiling water. The rack with cups is removed from the boil all at once. The knobs on the cups cool quickly so they can be handled within a few seconds after removing the rack from the boil. When new, the non-stick coating mostly works but I have had some sticking so I spray with oil and add a little butter (melted) to the cup before adding the raw egg. The cups are very easy to clean, much better than my previous. However, the rack itself has small gaps near the cups where egg can be spilled/cooked and these gaps are more difficult to clean.I use a stock pot for the water/boil and transfer the egg cups/rack to it once it is boiling. A stock pot is also tall enough to cover with a lid for steaming. Then store the rack/cups inside the stock pot after use along with the silicon finger mitt. Storage problem solved. Most often, gadgets that come with cooking gear are not very useful. However, the silicon finger mitt that comes with the set works great (I was a skeptic). It is the right size for protecting fingers from steam when lifting the rack into-and-out of the pot without burning. Of course, you could use a full-sized silicon mitt instead. Once cooked and the rack is on the counter, the cups are easy to remove. As I mentioned, the knobs cool quickly enough to handle within a few seconds (but do a touch test first) to remove and serve the eggs. This set meets all my current criteria. One criticism of the product description: IMO, the rack is too tall for use in a fry pan, even a deep one, unless you do not use a lid - which would not work for me.

Love Pouched Eggs
I received the 4 Egg Poacher about a month ago. Counting today its made perfect poached eggs every weekend.I did adjust timing due to fact I have and electric stove. But the instruction in there pamphlet are very good.I spray "I cannot believe it not butter" in the poached cups which works great with the spatula that comes with pan and they slide right out. After putting two cups of warm water in the pouched pan; I being the water to just about to boil and the I turn the stove down to lo. It take a little longer for eggs to cook then it would on a gas stove, But I watch eggs and when they start to form thin see thru white film on top eggs they are ready. I do warm up two Canadian Bacon slices and toast up a Thomas English muffin while waiting for eggs to be done. I am not doing the hollandaise sauce right now. Also cleaning the poached egg cups, pan and cover is very easy.

Teflon
Very well constructed, but I've used it twice and the eggs stuck to the Teflon cups each time. Very frustrated and disappointed.
