They are definitely dust free, neatly erases mistakes. I first became axquainted with them during standardized testing where neat erasing is a must. Georgia

Will this erase the soft-core colored pencils or will it just smudge it?

Is this product a pencil sharpener or an eraser? The listing is for Magic Rub erasers, but the reviews are for a pencil sharpener.

The featured product, Prismacolor Magic Rub Vinyl Drafting Eraser item #73201, is an eraser.

So, are people now receiving 12 in a package or should I just order from somewhere else?

12 in a package is what I got. Usually anywhere else like Staples etc sells them as 3 or 4 packs and are more expensive
