Doesn’t work! Gaps too big between the sides of the scissor hinge and pips too big to fit the scissor hinge gasket!!

I had a broken keyboard and due to coronavirus didn't want to go anywhere to fix it — followed a tutorial online and got it back in usable condition :)

Sent me a broken space bar. The clips were all fallen apart couldn’t even place it in. Says it’s for MacBook 12 inch 2015 model but my key is a lot longer and thinner than the one I got sent. Spent $23 for a piece of useless plastic don’t purchase. Better off taking it in to get fixed

We were told by Apple and by several repair shops that it was impossible to replace individual keys. With this, it actually took some trial and error, so our first piece broke but we figured out what we did wrong and the key went in well during our second try. We were ready to sell the laptop after the first one failed, but I'm glad we gave the second one a chance, as it extended the life of the laptop by several years!

I bought this in hopes that it would be what I needed to get my spacebar working again. I very carefully followed the steps in online tutorials and every one that said it would be difficult was right. I don't know whether it was a product error or I simply didn't have the ability to make the repair. If you are going to try to replace the spacebar in your macbook be very careful.
