Vello Shutterboss Version II Intervalometer- POWER BUTTON!
The media could not be loaded. I got this for 2 reasons. Remote shutter release and timelapse video. It is perfect and worth the little bit extra for the POWER BUTTON and BATTERY INDICATOR! I am surprised at the make of this item. If feels really solid. The cable is long so good for shutter release. Very nice that the shutter release will work even if the intervalometer has no batteries! That's right you can still remote shutter release with no batteries, but that's all you can do with no batteries which is more than enough. I have shot several timelapse videos in the last few days and this intervalometer has done a perfect job. It can be set with no limit. It has a button to light the screen wich is a big help if you a shooting a night to day. There is also a lock function to prevent buttons from getting pressed. You can set time between shots, number of shots, time release, exposure time, and more! Simply holding 2 buttons will reset the settings to make each new timelapse easy to set. I am so happy that I spent the little bit extra to get this one. Having that power button and battery indicator changes everything! I am using this with a Canon Rebel T6i.If you have found my review helpful, please let me know! Happy shooting!

Great product! i usually only buy Canon gear (because it usually works the best with Canon cameras) but this works great. Much more affordable than the canon branded one. Love that it takes easy to replace AAA batteries (2). The Canon model takes coin size batteries. Construction is good, nice and solid. Will also work without batteries using the manual control button. This is a must for astrophotography. It will also speed up your workflow for landscapes and other longer exposures since you don't have to wait for the camera built in timer each time.I would like to see some velcro tape included in the package so i can tape it to my tripod leg.

Excellent device, missing one feature
This is an excellent shutter for the price. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the Timed Intervals mode doesn't work the way I'd like it to. The ShutterBoss lets you set the amount of time between each shot. Unfortunately, it has to be longer than your exposure time. I am shooting 15 second exposures, so my options are either 1 second between each shot or 16 seconds (or more) between each shot.

Uses AAA batteries! Easy to operate, tough build quality!
Okay, so, Canon has this, Nikon has this... Fujifilm doesn't make this.In a way I'm kind of glad, because this is the exact same thing as the Canon and Nikon counterparts, except this is cheaper than how much I've spent on the Canon one. This however, this trigger release uses AAA batteries rather than the button type battery (which annoys the hell out of me, cuz my Canon one doesn't have a OFF switch, so the battery drains really fast). This also uses a 2.5mm sub mini port instead of proprietary port like Canon. Also this is just the perfect thing for my Fujifilm GFX 50S since it has a little flap dedicated for 2.5mm sub mini. So when I use this all other ports on the camera is not exposed to the elements. After using this for quite some time, now I've came down with this conclusion: this trigger release cable is also pretty tough!I've banned it on floors and my tripod many times, no signs of defect. I've also got it slashed with sea water, you all know what that means! Salt haven't killed it yet!

Works well on Canon EOS R
I just received this remote. I tested in on my Canon EOS R. I used all of the settings on the remote. It works very well. The remote comes with a helpful, easy-to- follow instruction manual. For my uses, I can't think of any settings that are missing. The build quality is good. If handled properly, it should last long.

If you purchase these, get multiples as a safety measure
I purchased this Vello remote a while back and really loved the functionality and the ability to turn them off/on. However, the one MAJOR problem I’ve been encountering is that every-so-often I’ll get one that has a tendency to flip out my camera. I have a Canon R6 and R6M2 and after a few uses, the cameras would freak out.Plug in the remote and the camera begins to click the shutter repeatedly on its own, and it won’t stop until you remove the remote. I’ve had this on 3 or 4 remotes and there is something about these that Vello needs to fix, otherwise you’ll have to resort to using the internal intervalometer, if ur camera has one. This is when I didn’t bring a backup (another Vello and another brand).

The Perfect Remote Timer
I absolutely love this remote timer. I love that I can operate it without batteries if all I need is a simple remote shutter release. I recently made use of a ton of the advanced features for an astrophotography workshop and can say that this is the perfect timer for long exposure and nighttime photography. The light on it is bright enough to see but doesn't kill your night vision and the operation is dead simple for dialing in a long-exposure or a sequence of long exposures. Also, I have forgotten to turn the unit off more than once and I can say that the batteries last forever.

Works great
I love this remote timer. This replaced my old single button shutter release. This one is easy to use. I have done a number of time lapse projects with it. The battery life could be a little better but most of that is because I do a lot of shooting in cold temperatures.
