Vaxxen Labs ASTM Level 3 Procedural Mask - Made in the United States, Latex Free (Box of 50) Size Adult S/M

These masks are well made, latex free (which is important when you are allergic to latex). They are a little on the small side, so after a full day of wearing them they aren’t as comfortable as others. If the ear loops had a little more stretch it would be better. They are easy to breath with, lightweight, yet block moisture. I will buy them again for my teens who have smaller faces.

Great for tweens and teenagers who are too big for kids masks but too small for regular adult size masks. Ear loops are too small for average size adult but the larger size fits better. I am a RN and the quality of these is great! Buying more!

UPDATE 11/02/2020: I WAS CONTACTED DIRECTLY BY THE COMPANY. BY PHONE AND EMAIL. THEY SENT ALL THE TESTING RESULTS. THESE MASKS ABSOLUTELY MEET ALL LEVEL 3 REQUIREMENTS. THEREFORE I AM CHANGING MY REVIEW.The ONLY problems I have so far are the short earloops and short thin nosewire. BUT that being said these masks are for single use only.I want to thank VAXXEN LABS for the clarification.With VAXXEN LABS permission I have posted pics of the results of the testing.

Very good product, good tighter fit to your face which they have been saying makes masks better for COVID-19. My son is using these to play basketball with. He can still breath and we feel he is better protected. I am a journalist and I have to be around lots of people. I feel better having this mask on. I am happy we went with an American made product. I feel like that made a big difference in the quality.

I only buy ASTM level 3 masks for added protection without having to go to more expensive and hard-to-breathe N95. These are re-labeled American Surgical Mask Co. face masks. Made in USA. Their website has certified test certificates from TUV (Singapore office), and they indeed passed ASTM level 3. They come in sealed plastic bag in the box.I'll compare these Vaxxen to Precept Medical 15300 ASTM level 3 masks that's used in hospitals and doctor's office but generally not available to the public. The Vaxxen is the top mask in the picture; the Precept is the bottomThe Precept mask measures 7-1/8" wide and feels thicker, while, the Vaxxen/American Surgical mask measures 6-3/4" wide and feels thinner. But it could just be different materials used as they are both certified ASTM level 3. The metal band around the nose on the Precept is thicker and stiffer which I like as I can mold it around my nose and it stays put. The earloops on the Precept is reinforced better as it goes under the top layer fabric, while the Vaxxen is simply ultrasonic-welded to the top of the outer layer. I've never had the earloop detached on the Precept with many days of repeated use, so we'll see how these Vaxxen hold up. Both are comfortable and do not itch. The Vaxxen, being smaller, contours around my cheek tighter.Given the times we're in, $40 for a box of 50 Made in USA ASTM level 3 is not bad.ADDENDUM 11/1/20:I've had a chance to use these for a couple of weeks and would like to comment on the comfort level and construction. I also changed the rating from 4 to 3 stars.I'm used to wearing face masks hours on end, in some cases the same mask for 8 hours, taking them off only to drink or eat, then they go right back on. Because the elastic ear loops on these are no very elastic (they don't stretch much), the back of my ears become unconfortable after 2 hours. After 3 hours, my ears are in pain. Aside from not being very elastic, the ear loops are also short. If the distance between your ears and eyes are longer or you wear eyeglasses, these will not be comfortable for continuous wearing.I don't have a big face/cheek, but the small overall dimension of the mask makes it a tight fit. Very tight. Which might be good at preventing infection since it really does seal around the cheeks and chin, but coupled with the short/not-so-elastic ear loops, it will become uncomfortable.These are supposedly 3 layer masks, although they look and feel thin. No problem there -- I'll trust their TUV certification. My concern is with the ultrasonic "stiching" -- those stitch marks that hold the layers together. It seems like through the stitch marks, the 3 already thin layers are not quite there.My final comment is with the nose band that you bend so the mask is shaped around the nose. On the better ASTM-3 masks you find in doctor's offices, they're real metal bands that have good stiffness and run the length of the mask. On these masks, it just didn't seem to hold the shape...too flimsy so I have to keep shaping it. I became curious and cut one of the masks open. Boy was I surprise to find that metal nose band was just a bag tie you find with your kitchen garbage bag or at supermarkets. No wonder it was not stiff -- it also was a short piece that did not run the length of the mask.Well at least I've not had the ear loops come apart from the mask, which is a common problem on cheaper masks.

Poor quality, dubious protection. I found the mask to have a cheap paper feel on my face. The mask was too small, the ear loops too tight and the nose wire too weak to hold its shape. I also found the original label hidden beneath the Vaxxen cover label. I was misled by Vaxxen's description of the mask. I can not use these masks working with patients in my office.

I like this soft , comfortable and fits my small face very well procedure mask, I don’t feel the ear loops hurt my ears at all even though after put it on for all day at my work. I rarely can find this kind of good quality local made mask online and I will definitely buy it again. Thanks to the producers.

I was waiting for this product to come back into stock. I am an adult woman with a smaller face & the standard size disposable masks are not an optimal fit for me. This one is. The sizing as advertised (Adult S/M) is accurate. It’s comforting to know too that the product is manufactured in Tampa, FL.
