Works with Home Assistant!
Yes, it does! Added in like any other ZigBee device/entity. We're actually using this in our chicken coop to make sure our hens find their way home each night. So we use an automation to turn the strip on about 30 minutes before sundown and then to slowly fade to 0% around 45 minutes after sundown. Kind of a niche use, but we have had great success with another Sengled LED strip on the back of our TV, we figured should work out there as well. We did have some adhesion issues inside the coop, but kinda figured the dusty environment wasn't helping. Either way, it's been out there for a couple of weeks now and it's been working great!

Another great LED strip and remote switch from Sengled
I have LED's everywhere, under cabinets, closets, etc. I'm running out of smart home projects and saw a Youtube video of someone putting LED strips under their bed. Ok, I'll give it a try. I have a 4 poster wood frame bed, I ran the strips under the outside edge all the way around and behind the headboard. I have them come on with my evening routines and setup a button on each nightstand to control them. I thought this was kind of a frivolous project, but it turned out to be very functional. I have them setup so that if you use the button in the middle of the night to navigate the bedroom, they come on very softly so not to wake the other person in bed sleeping. Then after a couple of minutes they automatically turn back off again. I also have them setup in my evening light routines and they work flawlessly. The wireless switch/dimmer that came with the kit was a bonus. I have an entry in my kitchen with no switch for the ceiling light and I used this to create a 3-way light without having to wire it. I set it up in SmartThings with the smart lighting app to mirror another switch. I had it mirror the smart light switch I have on the other side of the room and it works great. The dimmer function works great too. It mounts right to the wall and almost looks like a Decora style switch, same outside dimensions. I've added a picture of the two switches I use in my kitchen. I wish the logo wasn't so pronounced the the remote frame, but it works and it's intuitive to use. You can buy the remote switch separately for about $20, so the fact that it comes with the LED kit was a bonus. The kit also came with a Sengled hub. This is necessary if you don't already have a zigbee hub of some kind. I already have SmartThings and have my other Sengled bulbs and strips tied directly to my SmartThings hub, so this was an extra device I can't use, but if this was someone's first venture into a smart home ecosystem, it would be a great place to start.Follow up entry. I still like the strip but the remote switch started eating batteries. I was literally changing the battery every day. I contacted Sengled as it was under warranty and they took all the info about the switch. I gave up and ordered a Zooz switch. This is a much better switch functionally and aesthetically. I've yet to replace the battery and it works great. Cut to the chase... 3 months later I get the replacement... It's an led strip, not a switch. I used it in anther location, glad I didn't wait for the switch. The Zooz switch works so well I bought another just for scene control in another room.

No 1 Hue contender
Out of the box, it was very easy to pair to Smartthings Hub. I like the fact that it can be controlled via the physical switch on the strip itself. Planning to use it behind the bed headboard to get accent lighting. It is very bright and can be dimmable to right level as well as color changing which is good. One thing I didnt like is the light strip is hard wired to the controller, so you cant just buy two sets and daisy chain them although we can add extensions to the other end. Extensions are more expensive to purchase to get it to desired length. Additionally, daylight temp is alternating white and blue leds which doesn't look good when looking at it directly. It does look acceptable when it is viewed against the wall. It is a good competitor for Hue except that it doesn't enjoy the third-party app support and entertainment options that Hue does.

Not a Zigbee router
Zigbee uses a mesh network. Typically mains-powered devices (wired switches, smart lights and plugs) are routers, meaning that they can be repeaters for the typically battery-powered end devices, as well as helping to extend the range of the overall network. This device is mains-powered, but presents to the network as an end device, so if you're hoping for it to participate in the network, you need to look for a different device. As far as other stuff - got this working easily in Home Assistant using a generic Zigbee dongle and no other manufacturer-specific hub or app, the color change and brightness controls all work.

Will Update later
Ordered two, one of the two was DOA.**updated, appears connector from the control device to the strip was loose, pushed it back in and it works. Have them up and running now. Worked flawlessly with my hubitat. Will update later & inc photos.

Two failures in one month
I bought two of these, had to return them because one would just flash and would not connect. They made me returned both of them. So this time before I installed them, I tried them to make sure they both worked. A month later one of them is just flashing at me again and will not connect. Which means this is garbage I can’t believe one month is all I get. It does not give me an option to return them a second time or exchange them. So have I have beautiful gate pillars I have one working light and one flashing. Stay away from this product.

They looked good for the 1 day they worked
Do not purchase these lights. I have other Sengled products that work great, these do not.Installed these behind a sofa and they looked great. Day 2 I tried to turn them on but they would not turn on. Contacted Amazon support and they set up a replacement. I uninstalled the lights and shipped them back to Amazon. The replacement set arrived and I again pulled out my corner sectional to install them. They wont power on at all. Reached out to Amazon support and they are issuing a refund once I ship the replacement set back.

Good value for the price, bright light
Very good value for the money. Includes 16ft lightstrip, remote and hub. I already have other sengled products that work with Smartthings and this was added to the same setup. Its working great without any issues. Very bright and colors seem accurate. I wanted the Sengled hub in case I need to update firmware. Remote is quite similar to Hue remote, easy to use.
