the words are white in the picture on amazon, and they're not white on the shirt i got. so from afar it just looks like a navy shirt with a red/white stripe on it.

Very nice fit.

Overall the shirt is of good quality. The picture does not do the color justice. I would have liked the shirt to be a bit thicker in terms of material and quality but it is definitely not bad. I would it’s closer to being a heavy duty full-on thick cotton t-shirt than an undershirt.
