Very nice torch!
I bought this torch to repair broken copper pipes in my crawlspace after the deep freeze of February 2021 and it has performed amazingly well. It consistently lights the first time I press the trigger and it burns very well with the cylinder in any position since it has an internal pressure regulator. Cheaper torches will often flare up or blow out if the cylinder is tipped and it tries to burn liquid. This is very important because it often isn't possible to keep the cylinder upright when soldering in tight spaces, so it is very important that it burns correctly regardless of the position it is in. It also feels very solid and well made, the entire body seems to be made out of a quality grade of aluminium.I have not tried this torch on MAP Pro gas (the yellow tank), so I can only speak for its performance on propane. However, for most uses, the heat output of this torch should be more than adequate on regular propane. It solders 1/2 and 3/4 inch pipe very easily and will burn the flux easily too on maximum heat if you aren't careful. If you need a torch, please do yourself a favor and get something high quality like this Bernzomatic TS8000, the low end torches are more trouble than they are worth and are potentially dangerous.

Push Button Start and capability of both Mapp Gas and Propane Fuel use.
This was purchased as a gift for my son. I have watched him use the old-style propane torch you light with a match or spark striker. This new torch solves so many problems. Instant on, hotter flame with Mapp Gas, stainless steel tip to withstand the hotter flame, ability to burn fuel in multi-position attitudes, ability to keep flame on without the use of hands are all features you will love. It is much safer than the old style propane torches. This torch has it all and is a welcome addition to the tool chest.

High Heat
This torch is excellent. It works really well for heating up pipes and tubing fast for braising and soldering. It feels like it's built well, and I've put it through some serious abuse on jobs. The grip is comfortable, the torch head's angle is nice, the operation is very smooth. The ignitor fires the gas right up every single time. It's a high-flow torch, so you'll go through gas a bit faster. The only con I can think of is that it's very easy to accidentally bump on.If you're a tradesman or a serious DIYer, you need this.

These work great what else can I say
I bought this based on the recommendation of my friend who uses it to start fires in his fireplace and I'm glad I did.I've had a wood stove for longer than I can remember well over 30 years probably closer to 40 and this is the best way to start a fire I've ever came up with. I actually ended up buying two others for different stoves in my different shop buildings

Excellent torch for many uses
This is what I'd consider the ideal torch. I primarily use this for 4th of July to light fireworks. There is not a better tool for the job, bar none. I've used every kind of ligher, punks, and even road flares. It's a large powerful flame that instantly ignites when you pull the trigger, and instantly goes out when you release the trigger. You can adjust the flame from a decent size to quite powerful(for a blow torch). It is well constructed, heavy but not overly so, and withstand abuse very well. It's even been contaminated with a lot of sand at the beach several times and once you blow it out it is perfectly fine. I've only used this torch for about 13 months, but it still works as well as day one.Lots of power for soldering and brazing as well, but I'll be honest this is my fireworks torch. It's very efficient, one propane canister can light hours worth of fireworks because it only uses fuel when you are holding the trigger, which isn't long since lighting even the largest fuses or sparklers is a breeze.I've also used it to sear meat after sous vide but I have a much more powerful tool better suited for that job (it's a huge flame that's not as concentrated), but this is 10x better than your standard butane culinary torch.

Good Torch, Probably Overkill But Nice To Have
Good torch for around the house. I was looking for a well made propane torch for a variety of uses, including my favorite new purpose, seasoning cast iron. It's amazing how easy it is to re-season without all of the smoke.Try it. Butane torches work well, but they don't get as hot as this propane torch. This Bernzomatic TS8000 seems to fit bill. It's powerful and seems well made (we'll see how long the ignitor holds up, but it is pretty slick). It's so easy to operate I didn't need to read the manual...but I did. The only disappointment is the torch tube is slightly off bent/crooked. Structurally it's fine. There was no issue with the packaging so I assume it is a quality control issue so I had to take a star. Hopefully yours will be perfect.

Safer point and shoot
I use this mostly for lighting fires in a wood stove and a wood burning fireplace insert. I feel it's safer not needing two hands to turn on the valve and light the torch, then move the torch around. It should also be safer in the unlikely event that the torch were dropped or knocked out of your hand. The fact that I can position the torch then let 'er rip is nice. This nozzle is a beast - the fire is going to light! It's a bit pricey by I like having the option of buying a quality product that I can trust.

Nice, quality.
Fair price for what you get. I somehow lost the one I had for the last 12 years so had to purchase a new one. Quality doesn’t appear to have gone down so that is a good thing!
