It provides an list of many commands and programs in kali with a brief description of each. The book is more of a reference - but if your looking to learn about each command or program - it’s best to consult the manual for each.

If you are new to Kali or Linux in general, this book can get you in deep fast. It has the bulk of the things that an ethical (or not) hacker needs to look up all in a very organized presentation. It can save you hours of searching google on any single project - so the printed version is definitely worth the purchase.

If you memory is like mine, getting this and writing in extras will help so much.

Just a list of commands and options. No “journey” to be found.

The author was a student of mine and he has done a great job of condensing a lot of information into a very easy to follow guide. It is a great resource for those just learning as well as a great reference to keep on hand for those working with Kali Linux.

80% of this is just basic Linux commands, the other 20% just listing a few tools included in Kali. No explanations and barely any useful examples

This book is perfect for anyone looking to get their start into information security. Kali Linux is the pinnacle of operating systems to learn when joining the security space. This book has helped in more ways than one... when performing specific command lookups. The code block areas within the book really help to focus on specific subjects. Definitely recommend to anyone.
