Correct part, on time
Plastic so it won't last long. It isn't supposed to be tightened too much anyway.

Good tool for tightening the crank arm
good quality and cheaper than the name brand tool. you dont need much torque so a cheaper tool here is ok

Soft plastic, not a strong tool.
Update: I needed to loosen the screws on the crank first, the adjustment nut then is not so tight. Either way, I'll leave the review below as I think getting a metal tool is better.Even though it's plastic, I expected it to be a stronger, harder material. My dust cap was tight so I bought this tool thinking it would help. First, my hex wrench completely turned inside the center hole, damaging it, so the only other way to get it to turn was to use a wrench to grip the outside edge. It spun again, and I thought the cap was loose, only to realize the entire plastic nut twisted independently of the grip (see pictures). This was a waste of money and I should have spent a few more dollars for a metal tool - which I now still have to buy. Sure, my dust cap was tighter than it should be, but this plastic should have also been made of a harder, less flexible plastic.I'm surprised this has so many positive reviews. If you need a tool to remove your dustcap, chances are it's on tighter than you can remove by hand. If it's too tight to remove by hand, I don't see how that same torque needed would not damage this tool.

Cheap alternative to the factory tool
Does exactly what it was made for. This is a cheap alternative to the factory tool to remove the preload cap on Shimano cranks. I used this to install a left sided power meter.

Did not fit... Glad it was plastic...
Got this item today to change my Shimano crank arm.... It did not fit. I had to force it to get it to fit so I could use it. I should have went to the bike store and got the correct tool...🤨

Anything more fancy not required.
Good fit on an Ultegra 6700 crank set. Cheap yet sturdy enough.

Garbage
A piece of plastic garbage. The hex edges rounded immediately, even without any substantial pressure. Would not recommend.
