My new journal makes my heart happy. It smells good, it's soft, well-made, and loaded with thick paper that is so pleasant to touch. This really was a bargain.

I purchased this journal a few months ago and I waited to write a review so I could be fair. I bring this journal outside a lot. I use it with a few different mediums but mainly watercolors, colored pencil, fountain pen ink, and graphite and this journal surpassed my expectations in quality in every way. The paper is durable, good quality for mixed media. I haven’t run into any bleed-thru and the leather is great quality. I will be purchasing more of these journals and highly recommend them.

This journal is perfect for me. It has a soft leather cover and flexible binding, which is good for me because I usually have things like stickers, letters, stationery, stencils, and papers shoved in the back of my journal. The paper is very slightly textured and thick enough that I can use pens, markers, and watercolors with minimal bleeding. It’s a bit smaller than I expected but that’s my own fault for not reading the description, and I think it might be a happy accident because it will be able to fit into a new purse I was gifted over the holidays. Really, really happy with this purchase. I had gone to a local holiday market searching for a journal but couldn’t find what I wanted and ordered this on my way home and have no regrets! It feels really well made and sturdy, and I think it will be able to hold up to the beatings that my journals usually get. I’m almost done with my current journal and really looking forward to breaking this one in!

I ordered this hoping the leather was worn, it wasn't but it's still incredibly well done. I got the smallest version which is honestly perfect for traveling and has a great number of pages, absolutely buying bigger sizes

There are so many leather journals available on Amazon and this is one of the cheapest (lowest in price) in this B6 size. I kept thinking I should buy one of the 30+ dollar ones to make sure the quality was nice. But the quality on this one is great! It smells like new shoes, which doesn't make me mad. The leather is pliable and soft but not floppy-- not too thick or thin. I was worried it would be stiff and cardboardy-- not at all. It doesn't pull up, wrinkle, or change color when you roll it and I scratched it with my fingernail and it was very hard to leave a scuff mark.The paper is thick and just what I expected for this kind of journal. I tugged on the signatures and they seem sturdy. There is some slight staining on the pages where the signatures are tied in the middle, but it doesn't bother me as I expect that sort of quirk/imperfection in a handmade good.I opted for this one over another even lower priced one because the signatures are sewn in with what looks to be waxed linen and I thought that would hold up better than leather straps that could become brittle. I like the wraparound cover, it's a nice way to get yourself psyched up to write. This was 16.99 when I bought it and I think it's good enough to give as a gift, but it doesn't come in any kind of gift packaging like some of the other notebooks available on Zon. Still, I would rather pay so much less for such a nice journal and wrap it myself.Would buy again for sure.

First, the good. This is attractive, well-constructed (but handmade; it's not going to look mass-produced), and a definite value for the money. I bought the Cherry Red 8x6 journal, and the color is not what I would call cherry red, but it does exactly match the picture, so go more by their picture of the item, not so much the color description.The cover is pliable but sturdy, and the paper is thick and a bit rough. My fountain pen does not bleed through.The one negative is the odor. When I got it, it smelled like some sort of preservative, which is understandable if the seller had mold issues at one time, as some reviews suggest. Also, I got the 8x6 size, and I notice the 7x5 size is by far most popular, which may mean that they don't have to store those as long, so that could be why mine smelled so strongly.Anyway, I basically set it on a windowsill the day after I got it. There was a decent breeze, and I kept going in and opening it to new sections, turning it around, etc. At the end of the day I'd say 90% of the offensive odor was gone, and now a week or so later, I can barely smell it at all, it's just leather and paper.

This notebook is stunning and everything I hoped for. It comes packaged beautifully in a pouch. The leather is beautiful. The pages are beautiful. I'm so happy and can't believe the price. Comparable journals in retail stores are pricier.

Gave this as a gift and was very very happy with it. Wonderful material and detail. Would buy this again

I've had a lot of journal, sketchbooky things in my time but I love this one. Like all Kamal's products, this is hand made and top quality.I expect most journal/sketchbooks like this to eventually fall apart, but the binding here is extremely well made and will not be coming apart. the book has a good quality rag paper, with a thick inner binding page, and leather cover. I was a book binder, and I really like the quality of this journal.The paper is a good quality cotton rag, not too absorbant, so markers won't bleed everywhere. It is a bit rough textured, so it will be good for pencil sketching as well. It's not too rough for fine ink line work or writing in with a quill type pen.Lastly, it comes with a cloth pouch, which is a nice touch. Overall, I love this journal. This isn't the fanciest I've seen, it rather reminds me of something you'd see an explorer pull out on an expedition. If Indiana Jones actually did archeology he'd use one of these.

El papel es decente para escribir con pluma fuente y distintos tipos de tinta. El diario está bien ecuadernado, pero la piel tiene un olor muy fuerte a urea o algún químico similar que se usó para curtirlo. Han pasado varias semanas y el olor no se quita. El cuero tiene algunas manchas pequeñas como de grasa o aceite.

Totally exceeded my expectations. A beautiful leather journal. Absolutely gorgeous. Congratulations to the individual who made it. It's stylish, well crafted,and looks very expensive. It is worth every single penny.These days it's hard to find good quality products at affordable prices. Profit often comes before quality but not in this case. I shall be buying several more. Thank you.
