Tough sanding disks
This highbred sandpaper removes material very quickly. The big advantage is that it does not easily plug up from glue or old finish. I use a wire brush to clean off sticky materials. Also the dust collection is far superior to standard grit/paper sanding discs. I believe it is more economical than standard grit paper in the course of grits. These disks last longer and save time by not having to stop in the middle of a job to change disks. I have to say I do not see a significant difference in the finer grits below 120. I use Abranet 80, 100, and 120 with a Festool Rotex 150 and selectable oscillation, which helps smooth out sanding marks between these course grits. 100 grit is favorite.

My go to
These aren't the cheapest, but definitely worth the money. I use them with my Festool ETC and a Festool dust extractor. Almost zero dust after and the surface is great. These also seem to not clog and last longer than standard sanding discs. I do use the pad protector that goes between the sanding disc and sander pad. I have a 5" and 6" sander and have only replaced the protector pad on either once or twice in 12-18 months. I have a small woodworking business and do a fair amount of sanding. These are definitely my favorite discs.

Discs for the best sanding system I’ve used
The best sanding system I own. The discs are the correct size and attach securely with the hook and loop attachments.

Great dust collection
These work great if you have a good dust extraction system. gets most of the dust through the mesh and keeps your work area clean.

revised opinion - can recommend - get the festool pad protector with these.
The 80 grit Mirka Abranet discs don't seem to have any advantage over the regular granat 80 grit pad from festool - perhaps less life, in fact. Used on end grain walnut where I really needed a long-lived abrasive and was disappointed. Later; Put a gently used one on the pad protector (Festool) and it started cutting well - these are pretty good, in fact.

One of the best sanding options!
Abranet makes a quality sanding disc. They are durable & provide fantastic smooth surfaces as you increase the grit number. I use them on wood and epoxy with no worries about swirls, as long as you keep them clean it’s a large gum eraser as needed. This is the only sanding disc I use.

Great discs!
I'm not sure why I haven't bought these before with the amount of sanding I do. Dust collection is MUCH better than using a regular disc. The discs seem to last quite a bit longer since they don't load up. The disc itself is kinda thin but I believe that is an advantage. Step up from big box discs and buy these now!
