I like the 2
I like the 2.5L pot as it takes about the same time to heat a larger amount of water as the 1L that I also own. Since I'm usually group camping, it's the right choice for me. It also nests a standard 8oz canister, strike ignitor and canister stand in one nice package. I use a cloth to prevent scratching the interior. For boiling water quickly in all kinds of conditions, the Reactor Stove system is reliable and efficient.

when you need to boil water for more than 2 campers
I love the 1 L reactor for super fast water boiling for coffee or tea or soup or oatmeal in virtually any weather (actually i have not tried it in high winds and pouring rain at the same time). When there are more than 2 of us at the campsite though, 1 L is not enough. This pot takes up more room in my pack but its worth it when you need higher capacity. I was amazed when i first used the system how quickly it heated water and how wind resistant it is. I have not tried any other specialty systems but i have tried the aluminum wind screens etc. and it is far superior to those.Alway in my pack

works as good as 1
Pot itself is very well made, works as good as 1.7 L, as for size, yes it is 2.7 butbe quick to get it off Reactor when water started boiling. (Otherwise it will spill out).or put 2.5.I found it more useful to not to over throttle Reactor to a max but use small/medium levelinstead to get Reactor glow orange/red.Also you may use this type of pots with other type of gas stoves.

Great pot but crappy handle.
Straight away the finish at the bottom of the pot is lost where the fins are welded. The handle is really poor quality. The handle has only two rivets and feels lose and sloppy. The handle on far cheaper Fire maple pots are by far superior with a robust feel and 3 rivets. This pot is over priced no doubt about it. Should be around the $100 mark not $150. I have two of the fire maple pots and wish I had bought another and saved money instead of this pot.
