Works as advertised
Replaced a similar ballast. Easy to install and works as advertised. A good $10-15 less than the big box hardware store.

Much cheaper than replacing the whole light
A lot of things are intimidating until you really get in there, especially involving electricity. You'll really only need a few things and about 10-15 minutes.~Ladder~Head lamp~Screwdriver~Wire cutters~Wire nuts~Maybe electrical tapeHeadlamp on, turn off the switch in question, remove the plastic cover, expose the black/white/green connectors. Mine were behind a removable panel but you may need to drop the light from the ceiling a bit to get access. The ballast comes with much longer wire than you'll need so you can trim accordingly. Hold the new ballast near the old one to get an idea where everything will need to route. Snip the red/blue wire close to the old ballast to give you enough to work with. Remove old ballast, put the new one in it's place. From here, it is really just plugging colored wires together. If you have two blue wires but only need one, snip off the extra and tape the exposed end. I topped everything off with new LED bulbs and the garage is MUCH brighter. Just getting he bugs out of the cover helped too...

Fast, convenient
When my garage light stopped working I dreaded what it might be. Do I pay an electrician $300 to fix it? I then realized it was probably nothing more than a bad ballast. A quick check with voltmeter confirmed my suspicions. I ordered one and it arrived two days later. I installed it in less than 10 minutes. Light works great now.

Convert T12 to T8 LED fluorscent/LED lamps
This is a T8 electronic ballast that can replace an old T12 wirewound ballast. Watch YouTube videos to make sure you wire correctly. Better yet, purchase T8's that can be directly wired to 120V and you won't need a ballast at all. Watch the color temperature as most LEDs are too white (high over 5,000), not soft at al (lower than 4,000).

Ballast
This ballast was an exact replacement for the one in my fluorescent light fixture. It fits perfectly, was fairly easy to install and works perfectly.
