versatile meat substitute with high protein
I think this is a really good meat substitute considering the low amount of ingredients, and that it's soy free. I don't have a soy allergy myself, but I know it's pretty common. You get used to an ingredients list that's a paragraph long and looks more like a chemistry experiment than actual food, but that's not the case here so that's refreshing to see.I tried this a couple of different ways. I pan-fried patties of the mix, and ate by itself with salt & pepper, and some BBQ sauce, and also as part of a sandwich with lettuce, tomato and mayo. Both tasted better than most meat substitutes I've tried, and had a good meat-like texture.I think this is a great change of pace, and easy way to mix up your protein intake even if you're not vegetarian. And if you are vegetarian, especially if you have food allergies, this is a great product to try.

Follow directions. Season a little& tastes good.
The flavor is good if you’d like to season with some salt, pepper and garlic powder. For a plant based item, it is not bad. Made some patties and they came out pretty good. A healthier substitute for meat. It was pretty easy to make.

Expensive and not very flavorful
Doesn’t really taste like chicken, even when using the Jada chicken salt.I suggest adding instructions on how to properly season, and maybe instructions for people looking to airfry this.I’d want to experiment with seasoning and cooking methods, but it’s too expensive for that.

Really good plant-based chicken substitute!
I made 12 "chicken" nuggets out of this mix, and I thought they came out great! Pan fried until browned on both sides in a small amount of oil. They have a meaty texture and fry up well. I added sazon, salt, poultry seasoning, and more nutritional yeast flakes for extra flavor. I look forward to trying these with Jada's seasonings, as well. All-in-all, I think this is a very good and tasty chicken substitute (albeit a tad dry). (And if you have children, in particular, I think that these would make a great alternative to the traditional chicken nuggets!). I make, purchase, and eat plant-based meat and chicken substitutes on a regular basis. (I am vegetarian bordering on vegan; my husband is total vegan.) I will order this again and add the Jada's seasonings to my order. Can't wait to try them with their recommended seasonings!

Texture does feel meaty
It is the closest we've had that tastes like real chicken. It definitely tastes better with seasoning and dipping sauces. Just know, it still isn't real chicken so of course doesn't truly taste like it. The box is quite small - it feeds about two adults for one meal so we've ordered more boxes. Hopefully they bring the price point down after their sales go up. It was extremely fast and easy to make - no more than five minutes. It doesn't have a weird aftertaste and it does make the house smell as though real chicken is cooking.

Price is too high
Nothing special in terms of flavor. If you are a vegan and want something to fry quick then sure but it needs some help, maybe some spices and herbs and it would be good. The price is high though for that kind of product. Again just like I reviewed the jada spices, i say the price on this pack should be no more than $5.99 then I would consider buying again but at $13 not likely that I would buy it again.

Tastes like chicken
Purchased for my vegetarian daughter. She loved it. I tasted as a non vegetarian and would not be able to tell the difference.Would recommend.

It's alright...
Like other reviewers, I saw this product on Shark Tank. The hosts really seemed to enjoy it so I figured I would give it a try. This product arrives as a dry mix which you add water and a bit of oil to. This process was a bit off-putting, my partner described it as looking like wet cat food. Despite this, we did continue to form four decently sized patties, and pan fried them up. Visually, they looked great but the taste just wasn't there for me. I notice the listing now indicates they are unseasoned, so perhaps it would be improved with some seasoning.Unfortunately, the cost makes it a product that I would buy as a one-off novelty and not on a regular basis.
