This world globe is absolutely beautiful! I love the cherry wood two-toned stand and how sturdy it is. The globe spins smoothly and it looks so elegant. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to use a Phillips head screwdriver and put the 2 stand pieces together. It comes with instructions on how to replace light bulb if needed, so don't throw away instructions unless you have a great memory. YES, I would recommend

I ordered this globe for my 6 y.o. son who is obsessed with learning where other countries are. The light was an added bonus. It actually makes it easier to find the smaller countries and capitals. I guess you could also use it as a night light, but it is quite bright. I am taking one star off because the wooden base arrived chipped. I wish they packaged it a little better.

My granddaughter was redecorating her room and loved this globe. She has it on her desk.

For my grandson who wants to learn about the world and things that globes are extremely interesting. I know he will love it.

It has seemed so show but overall for the price is totally acceptable
