A great, sturdy gas can.
Very happy with the 2 gallon can. Many reviews stated their gas cans arrived dented. Mine came in perfect shape. The “rust” on the screen flame arrester mentioned in many reviews is not rust. The screen is a darker color in places due to brazing it together. A good tight seal on the spout helps quell that awful feeling of driving home from the gas station with a full can of gas inside your vehicle.

It is what it's supposed to be
Less expensive than the brick and mortar stores and I didn't have to go out of my way to get it. It came straight to my home.

Good for improving safety in storing and using flammable liquids
Around a household there are many occasions when the use of a flammable liquid is necessary or convenient. A couple of uses might be as a solvent for old paint/lacquer removal for a refinishing project, or a fire starter of outdoor cooking with charcoal or wood, or to just have a campfire. This item considerably improves the safety of both the storage and usage of the flammable liquids. Most academic and industrial chemistry research labs use similar equipment. This can is not as robust as what would be found in a professional lab, but it provides a substantial upgrade in safety over other traditional storage vessels which can found in a typical home. I strongly recommend to homeowners, that they get storage containers at least as functional as this item.

Great metal can!
I already had a five gallon gas can from Justrite, and I love it. These cans are well built and have a strong spring holding the filler cap tight to the base, so no gas spills or splashes out until you pull back on the handle/lever.Also, being made of metal, the gasoline is kept more pure for a much longer time than it does in plastic cans. They cost more, of course, but it is obvious the difference between the two types. I tend to use a lot of gasoline here on our property, which consists of 87 acres, although I maintain only a few of those acres as though they were lawns. It's just that the time inbetween cuttings can be a couple of weeks out in the fields, so the gas will sit for a while. I believe that it's always a good idea to use the additives to protect the gas, but to also use metal containers for even better, longer protection from volatility loss.I got this one gallon model in green for my 2 cycle mix, so it won't be confused with other 1 gallon cans I have. Because I already have experience with the Justrite cans, I had no problem ordering another from that company. I didn't get the model with the funnel because I already have one on the larger can, and I can switch them whenever I want. Like I said, the construction is great, feeling like pure quality right from the package. Some have mentioned that the funnel setup, which you can buy sperately or which comes with these cans by selection, will allow some gas drippage, which it will if your funnel is set at an angle tilted towards the can itself. I avoid this by keeping the funnel upright before tilting the can and prying open the cap. It's all a matter of pouring straight down into the funnel. A full five-gallon can is a bit heavy, so it's not always easy to hold one up while keeping the funnel upright, especially for many women, so I would suggest smaller cans for those who have problems in this way.In conclusion, I would say that if you're looking for a solid gas can that will keep gas relatively potent for a longer time, and that will not leak while being jostled in a vehicle, I would suggest the Justrite cans of any size. Most of us use gas cans rather regularly, so the extra cost for something you won't need to buy again for a long time might be well worth whatever extra you pay.

Very pleased with them...I bought 2
We live in rural Hawaii on a small coffee farm. Buying gas at Costco saves us about 90 cents per gallon, so we try to store a reasonable amount of gasoline here for emergencies and for all the small equipment engines we run. I wanted to buy two new metal cans to replace some plastic ones which were leaking. This was the first of these I bought, but it will not be last. It is made well of durable material. Nothing complicated, just pull the handle and pour. They do not leak and they do not seem to vent much or at all. The seal seems to be cork, so once that gets wetted, it seals reliably and well. At first I thought they were not 5 gallon, as they are taller and thinner than others I own, but sure enough, they hold 5 gallons.

Well built, paint looks great, and clever (metal) handle device that opens the cap "automatically" while pouring.Highly recommended over a plastic fuel can.
