This is great potassium nitrate that has many uses. First up for me is to rot out an old walnut tree stump. It was a good deal for the money. Hope the potassium nitrate will speed up the process of disintegrating the walnut tree stump. Have to wait, over time, to see the effectiveness.

Makes good BP after proper milling

I use this for removing tree stumps. It takes a year or two, but my stumps have been growing for decades. Drill some 1 inch holes in the stump (the more the merrier!) and introduce this powder into the holes. Refill when you notice the holes are empty again. The potassium nitrate rots them out from the inside. The stump will look normal for quite a while and then collapse in on itself. I use a 4 pound bag, sometimes two bags over the course of a year. You will notice the stump starting to look cracked and broken on the outside. The stump eventually becomes hollow and barren inside, like the rest of us. Good luck!

This is a great buy, well worth the money, if you need pure potassium nitrate, it's very easy to recrystallize into a very pure product. Although the product is pure as is, I always do the recrystallization.
