Perfect Rangefinder for my Drone/Copter using ArduPilot
Accurate for such an inexpensive device. I am using it as one of many sensors for object avoidance. Needed some minor rewiring to work with my flight controller and ArduPilot but that is to be expected.

Works with raspberry pi 3 B+
I bought this to measure distances using a raspberry pi 3 B+. I was able to get it to work but things to note are: It can not measure distance to water (water does not have the proper reflective properties for this laser) You do not need any serial convert if you follow tutorials online BUT you must use the terminal to run it (can’t use the shell, IDLE, etc) It is pretty accurate so far and is a great price for the product.
