Q: Fit split shaft with 14 splines? Not sure why 14 but I counted 7 on each side of the split shaft.

Most likely. I bought these for 8+8, and they are a bit tight but fit nicely. They're good going on tight though. The real difference seems to be between fine spline (24) and coarse (18) so if you're counting 14, plus the split, that should still be fine with fitting this hardware.
