Bought reluctantly after watching several youtube videos showing this training bat in use. My 8 year old son has (had) a descending bat path, with wrist rollover in the impact zone. To get bat on plane with the ball, which is on a descending arch, the bat path needs to be slightly ascending. He was crossing paths with the ball,.like an X, and only got hits when timing was perfect. Even still, the resultant pull side grounders were the norm, with occasional weak pop flys barely into the outfield. Line drives the rarity. Two days with the insider bat, 1.5 hours each day, 100-150 limited flight balls. He's now swinging slightly upward and no longer rolling his wrist in the impact zone. Today with the skinny bat and golf ball whiffle balls, he's hitting line drives. I'm beside myself, truly. He's finishing the swing above shoulder, rather than around his mid torso. Day and night difference. Had hoped to have him more fundamentally sound within 2-3 weeks when he has his first little league game. Very impressed by what this training bat has done for my son after two days. Be advised, it may start off rocky, he was frustrated for the first hour or so. I suggest watching the insider bat youtube videos (the guy in green baseball uniform), the freeze on impact drill being the first drill I would try. Then move on to the one hand drills, briefly (difficult for my son). Then 3/4 swing freezing up top, then full swings at 75% speed. This is not a tool for a young child to use alone. Guidance will be needed. Get some video on your phone of the kid swinging it, show them, so much easier to convey what you are trying to accomplish. Line Drive Nation website is a coach in Tenn (sharp guy) that does unlimited video swing analysis for $20/month, great tool also. Either way, if you're motivated, and the child will work a few hours at it, I suspect this training bat can help most anyone. Soon as T ball is over I'm introducing my 6 year old daughter to the insider bat. Very clever tool that allows the child to feel a good swing, something I spent several fruitless weeks trying to explain.

This may seem like a gimmicky purchase, but its not. There is a reason it has been around for over a decade with almost no changes and still ends as part of so many hitting coaches routines. The bat forces you to stay inside the ball and create a proper swing path. It should not be the only thing your kid swings as a practice routine. My son uses a mix of the thin training sticks with mini wiffle balls (over and underload sticks), camwood bat, insider bat, heavy balls, wiffle balls, tee work, pitching machine etc. Consistent reps with a variety of disciplines.

We have tried a bunch of different swing trainers before. We tried the swing rail, but was tedious to set up and frustrated the kids. This one seems silly, but really helps to keep hands inside the ball. We use it with wiffle or tennis balls off the Tee at home. using it to get to the contact point and stopping the swing, then using it to swing all the way through seemed to help avoid "casting" of the swing. It seems pricey for what it is (simple metal, nothing hi tech) but as a dad who spends way too much time and $ on baseball, it seems like a good investment.

My son plays 8u travel ball, he HATED this tool when we first started using it but how that he has gotten used to it it no longer bothers him. This tool does two really important things: 1- Teaches kids to swing inside out 2-Prevents them from rolling over into ground outs. I am willing to bet my son is the only kid on the team using this tool since he is the only one that can hit an outside pitch the other way into the outfield.

This tool really teaches kids to put their hands in the correct position through impact. We tried multiple training aids and none seemed to set in with my daughter, but after 2 sessions with the insider bat, her swing path was 50% better and made a huge impact. She has been playing competitive fastpitch softball for over 6 years and is experienced and this helped dramatically. I can see where this product would be highly beneficial to a beginner as well and would teach the proper mechanics of staying inside and hands through the ball. Bat is well made and very durable.

Tiene buen tamaño lo que ayuda a poder practicar dentro de una habitación y a practicar batear con la parte correcta del bat. Ahora sólo queda entrenar para mejorar el bateo, pero definitivamente los errores los descubrí enseguida, así que enseguida comienzas a mejorar la mecánica. Súper recomendable! Bought this as I thought be good training aid for U12/10 age. WOW what a great training tool for the kids right up to U19 age. With the older softball girls it was showing me they were opening up their front hip to early. After I pointed that out it was straight line drives up the middle. Been coaching for over 15 years and this is hands down the best batting tool I’ve purchased.

プロ野球選手が購入した事をネットで知り、小学生一年生の息子の為に購入。 最初、使い方がわからなくてネットで調べたら、動画も沢山あり、それを参考にしました。 息子には穴あきボールを投げて打ち返すと言う練習をしました。もちろん素振りもしました。 ちゃんと手首が返らないと打てない構造なので自然と身について来てます。 今まで芯でとらえてなかった打席が芯で捉えられる様になり、効果を実感しました。 大人の私も夢中になって打っています。 言葉では伝えにくい所を自分の体で覚える良い商品です。

正しくスイングすることでボールを打つことができるので 正しいフォームが身につきそうです。 始めて現物を見た感想は、 ・変わった形 ・どうやって打つの？ でした。 実践してみると、正しく当てるとボールを打てました。 しっかりとしたフォームが身につきそうです。

Very good learning tool but a fair bit overpriced.
