Nice warm feet while hunting in the cold!
Socks fall a bit from weight of batteries, and batteries don't last long, but socks work great to keep feet warm...not toasty, but warm. Very nice in freezing temps!

Warm toes
Well, who knew that a D-cell battery would have a enough juice to heat your feet. They do not over heat your feet, just the right amount of heat to keep them warm. Good for sitting in the bush, waiting for the right beast to cross your path. A little costly but, well worth it. It is a nice product and the wool of the socks are comfy. I would buy another pair if these ones wore out.

Worthless
Don't waste your money. They didn't work for me they are heavy and maybe get a tiny bit warm.. They dont even heat on the toes. I used them when I went snowboarding. It said wait a few minutes for them to get hot and I put them on at 6 am and wore them until 4pm! They didnt get warm! I don't think it should take longer than 10 hours. I tried different typed of batters to..

Worth the try
I remember my mum having battery-heated socks for skiing when I was a kid. I feel like this sort of thing is gimmicky, but hey, I always get cold toes on ski days and they're inexpensive so what the heck. I might have gotten a size too big, but I didn't really care, I just made sure the wire was in a comfortable spot under the toes when going into the ski boots. It is important to note that with any gear to keep feet warm, you must start with warm or room temperature feet! Don't expect any product to return numb toes to warm and toasty. I read through the reviews so I understood that I wouldn't feel heat being generated, but that my toes should remain comfortable. Which they did for the whole ski day. Even after lunch break which is always when my natural heat is gone and my toes start getting cold within the first run or two. I skiid from 10am-4pm in northern NH and by the end my feet were still pretty good. Normally with that much outdoor time in my old boots they'd have been numb blocks. Also I paired these with boot covers which I'd also never worn previously. On Day 2, since I didn't have any idea if I'd used the batteries up or not (since the toes were fine to the end of the day), I used the same batteries and boot covers again and this time got cold toes. Not numb, but they did get cold by the end so it was probably the batteries this time. Other reviews said batteries only lasted 2-3 hrs, but I think it was likely more than that. When I took my boots off at the end day 1 I could feel some warmth along the wire. So I'm thinking 1 day per fresh batteries. If you're looking to use rechargeables it is probably less since I use those frequently in other things and those degrade more easily. It's been a mild winter since those couple days but I'll try and post an update when I get more use of them.

Works fantastic!
I bought these socks for my daughter, who is suffering from fibromyalgia and has poor circulation. She loves them and wears them all the time. They are easy to care for-just hand wash. My daughter is so happy to have nice warm feet. What a lovely product.

Very little head
If it's cold enough outside to need heated socks, these aren't powerful enough to make a difference.D batteries are simply not strong enough to produce much heat for very long. I could feel a small amount of warmth coming from the heating element when I was inside a warm room; but as soon as I stepped outside, the Midwest winter completely overpowered the little heating strip under my toes.Spend your money on HotHands toe warmer packs instead.

Nordic Gear Heated socks
I love having heated socks and have recommended these to other people who work outside during the winter. I did feel they ran a bit small. I ordered medium (which is the size that should have fit me) and they are smaller and shorter that I would prefer.
