Good for two years
I've been using this router for about 2 years. The sporadic loss of Wifi is getting more frequent these days. Since my previous router didn't give me this problem, and replacing the modem didn't improve the situation, I pretty much know it's this router. I'm experimenting with different channels (helped by the program WifiInfoView to avoid interference), different transmission powers, channel widths, etc. None seems to make any difference. I'm thinking of buying another router, or router + AP combination. If anyone can recommend one, I appreciate it. My only criterion is reliability, not speed or cost.(BTW, I hope more people can write reviews after having used a product for some time like a year, or update their own reviews if they wrote them soon after the purchase.)

buffering
I did not need the higher priced routers that are needed for a more sophisticated wireless system. It solved my major problem - buffering. I am new to streaming and the frequent stopping to see the program was a pain I did not set-up a wireless network - too complicated. I plugged my printers directly into this router to get remote access. It is the best of the cheapest for the family user

2.4ghz is awful, but 5ghz works fine.
On the 2.4ghz band, the bandwidth is awful, but the 5ghz band somehow works great.
