This seed has very good viability. Bought some from a box store and nothing sprouted. I bought these and now I have soo many garlic chives. Perhaps i should start harvesting and drying them out to store. These seeds are great. You wont be disappointed.

Planted a whole 10x20 flat and only 5 seeds germinated :( rip off

Sprinkled a handful onto a large planter. That planter is now full of garlic chives - high yield, minimal maintenance. Very happy with my healthy, tasty garlic chives. And I only used about 10% of the pack!

I am using these in a Mason jar with a screw-screen lid and I'm getting about 85-90% germination rates.

Chives are fairly easy to grow so it's not surprising that I got a good germination rate.

I have dead patches in my lawn where grass just won't grow, so as a goof I bought some Chive seeds and threw them down and they took. Once tgat was a success, I needed a lot more... fast... so I bought this. Now the spots I covered are very green with chives (and dill and cilantro and a couple other herbs I mixed with chive seeds) and it smells like onions when my lawn is mowed.... it's amazing. Definitely would but again.

These sprouts are so delicious and a very generous helping of seeds for your cost. I also planted some out in my garden and they are just gorgeous!! Wonderful garlic flavor.
