Bought one for my son, he loved it
I bought one of these stocks for my sons' Remmington 870 "duty" gun, he loves it. So my poor old Mossberg 500 was feeling left out, not anymore. I now have one of these stocks of my own. I don't shoot clays a lot but it sure is nice having 5 extra shells with you on the line. I haven't mastered the quick reloads yet, but my son is working with me on that. You load the stock just like your mags but to remove the shells it just takes a little tug. There is a drop-down retainer that keeps the shell in place, it's strong enough to hold the shells but smooth enough to pull them out when needed. If you are thinking of setting up a "tactical" shotgun, this stock will help you get there. It also comes with three shoulder pads so you can adjust the "length of pull" to fit your needs. And finally, it is real easily to install with the included extra-long allen wrench.

Yes - It really does have sling swivel stud
It took me 30 minutes to drive over to the Amazon Locker to pick this up and install it - easy. Probably more than 5 minutes of that time were spent with dummy rounds checking it out. I like it - I am used to SpeedFeed stocks and this is a different manual of arms to learn. I might have bought another SpeedFeed stock but the last eBay prices that I saw were a bit on the high side (of course I bought mine back when you could get them almost anywhere and that likely flavors my opinion). Not to mention that I get an extra round.Pros - Very easy install - especially with the long Allen wrench (I own several wrenches that could accommodate this install but I used the included wrench because it was there -nice touch); it is pretty easy to use and as I mentioned I did use some dummy 12 gauge rounds to get the feel of it; it does add weight to the gun (its on a Mossberg 590-A1 shotgun) but the extra weight was actually a plus when I tested it (once again proving Isaac Newton to be correct) - recoil was mitigated a bit. I don't know the weight of the gun since my hanging scales are over at my neighbors and its raining - but it is a noticeable increase to an already heavy shotgun. And I can confirm that it does indeed have a sling swivel mount for which both the stud and washer were provided.Cons - The length of pull is a little short for me. I am six feet tall with kinda long arms so that's not an unusual finding for me. Learning a new manual of arms is also time consuming - especially with ammo prices and availability. Otherwise it works as advertised. I just order the adjustment spacers for it and based on experience that will make the LOP correct for an additional $20. I wish that they would have included at least one spacer with the stock.Testing - Although we have thunderstorms rolling through today I took it out for a trial run with 25 rounds of the old MilSpec Winchester/Olin 12gauge 00 Buck (the brown box stuff that we used to be able to get from Walmart for cheap practice ammo). Remember those days... If you have used that ammo you know that it has a decent recoil factor. This stock seems to absorb more of that recoil than the original stock and as noted, that makes sense. It is going to take some work to be as proficient with this stock for me since I am used to SpeedFeed stocks but I none the less like it. I will be practicing with trap loads for now because I have more of that than anything. For now 4 stars but with more practice I suspect that will move to 5 stars. It seems to be a great alternative for those of us that really don't care for the side saddle ammo carriers (although I am arguably a bit quicker with them than am with this -that is at least partly experience based).

I really like this and I am a gun nut
I put it in place of a butt stock on a Mossberg 500 it fits perfectly. It is a great addition with the ability to carry extra shells and not use a side saddle. It’s a convenient way to carry those extra rounds. I highly recommend you go for it, you won’t be let down with the quality that you get and the advantage of carrying the extra ammo without extra effort. It works well. What a great idea

It functions but very heavy!
I have the mossberg 590 persuader and the first thing I noticed with this stock is how heavy it is. I weighed it and it’s 3 pounds which the old stock is 14oz so hopefully you don’t have an LE with the heavy barrel. 3 pounds of added weight is a little excessive and that’s without ammo. Since it’s just for home protection I’m not worried about that extra weight but for someone planning on carrying it around long distance it could bare down on you. But otherwise installation was easy. And yes it comes with a sling point that you screw into it which many people have said it doesn’t have but mine came with it.

Great Product!
Very well made. Very solid feel. It does add a bit of length to the pull but it fits me great.
