RESCUE! Disposable Yellowjacket Trap - Central & Eastern Formula - 3 Traps

I was skeptical because there are a lot of bad reviews, but decided to try it anyway. I have been unable to sit on my balcony for a few weeks without doing combat with yellow jackets. I hung this up yesterday morning, and by late afternoon there was no signs of it working. I was very disappointed. Then this morning I discovered there are a bunch inside dying and a few flying around it. I am very pleased. We live in Texas half way between Austin and San Antonio.

I purchased several of these in the store in Spokane in 2024 and they really worked. The yellowjackets bombarded me the minutes I went out of the door and the traps filled up very quickly. It was a severe year in my area, and the traps caught lots of them and I was very happy with the results. I ordered 3 of the same traps through Amazon this year and thought I would get a head start on trapping the yellowjackets. However, these traps did not work at all! Not one yellowjacket even ventured near them. Don't know what they did to the attractant, but nothing has gone into the trap at all during the entire time they have been up. What a bummer! I thought I had found the answer to the yellowjacket problem.

I tried to get a West Coast version but failed to notice that what I ordered was for east of the Rockies. Of course, they didn't work at all. Be careful when you order this because it can be confusing.

did not attract any bees. I have bought from Lowe's and they work. like many others said these are expired .

After being stung three times in one day, I finally decided to unleash HELL on these little monsters!! I read the reviews and decided, with next day shipping, why not? As promised, my Rescue Yellowjacket Trap was in the next morning. I live slightly East of San Antonio so I was instructed to purchase YJTD-E (For East of the Rockies). The product was easy to use and highly effective; just cut a hole around the top, following the dotted-line, ensure a tight fit around plastic cone, fill water to fill-line...the bag says to allow 2-5 hours to completely dissolve...however, be careful because the product works much faster, they go absolutely nuts for this stuff. As I was taking the bag to hang, yellow jackets started to swarm around me...lesson learned!!! So in my next attempt, I put the bag in place and then filled it with water. My yellow jacket problem was much worse than I had expected!! I put out all three bags and within minutes each one was covered in Yellow Jackets. It was completely gratifying, however, to watch as one by one, they were descending down into their DEATH!! Doomed the minute they enter the cone and can't find their way out! After one full day, the water was about half way full with dead jackets. This product WILL attract Yellow Jackets, so be careful not to hang where there is human or animal traffic.
