Il titolo di questo libro è uno specchietto per le allodole. New York si vede solo nelle prime fotografie, dopodiché il libro si concentra su fiori e composizioni floreali. Per quanto queste foto possano essere pregevoli, il titolo lasciava immaginare qualcosa di molto differente. New York in Bloom è consigliato agli amanti dei fiori, piuttosto che a coloro che vogliono scoprire un lato meno noto della città.
