A STEAL FOR < $100
I purchased this knife as a gift for my 21 year old son. I had been promising him a nice knife for some time now. There are a few things to say about this knife, but you know where I stand from the title. First I must disclose that I own a Benchmade Osborne 940-1 model knife. I say that only to put my review in perspective according to my references. Does it compare to Benchmade? Well, it is an entirely different knife. One thing about Benchmade is that if I were to find a knife of their make along the roadside and it were all mangled, I'd mail it to them and they would return it all cleaned up, fixed up, and sharpened. Will Foresail do that? Honestly, IDK. But here goes on what I do know...1. The steel is laser etched M390. This is important because M390 us a powder super steel and cannot be stamped. It must be laser etched with it's designation. You can see this in one of the photos I submitted. It also has a fine grain look to the blade as M390 should. It also came out the box surgically sharp. Like for real for real, I've removed several straps of leg and arm hair and look all sorts of silly.2. This knife weighs much more than my 940-1. Now that's a "to each their own" type of quality IMHO. I don't use my knife enough hours in the day to be fatigued by it. But in perspective this beautiful knife weighs in at nearly double my Osborne (68.3 grams). I feel that it makes the knife at least seem more substantial and valuable.3. The action is superb. Now it's not as fast as my Kershaw Blur, but it's faster than my Gerber with the F.A.S.T. system (which slows over time and use). I used to think it was something mechanical that opened the knife. I say used to because this is my second Foresail knife, only this one is a different style. However both open the same I think. Now, when I go to close it there's no tension trying to push it back open (which is nice from a safety perspective). When it gets almost all the way closed a force seems to grab it and pull it....like a magnetic force. That would also explain how it opens automatically without any kind of spring or mechanical ingenuity. Press the flipper, with nice jimping BTW, and when you have applied enough pressure to break the magnetic closure, it flings right open. It's genius really and one of my favorite aspects of the knife.3. It comes with everything. I mean it is fully gift ready. The pics with the knife, the wonderful leather pouch, the microfiber cloth, and the draw string bag with the Foresail logo show what all came with it. And still the knife was in plastic. The box was also in plastic. The whole thing was in a heavy duty bubble wrap lined Amazon envelope. I mean Wow!4. Now IDK if I'm going to carry it using the leather belt pouch or in my pocket using the clip yet. Yeah, I've done decided my son will have to wait a little longer for a different knife. What can I say I'm selfish, and this is a beautifully crafted knife. It also appears to have caged bearings. So great action, caged bearings, both a leather pouch for belt carry or a superb clip for pocket carry all are great features of this knife.5. Now for the negative. It does seem as if the blade is not perfectly centered along the bearing. Not enough to cause any issue however, and I can't be for sure that's even true because my vision is not the greatest. Fortunately there is no play in the blade. There's no wiggle, no wobble, no wamble....nothing. There are several small screws holding everything together on the handle. Hopefully they stay secure where they are for all time. The clip us not reversible unfortunately, but who cares? The last negative is a tiny little gripe. It has wonderful jimping on the flipper, but none on the back of the blade where it meets the handle when opened. Just a few little rough cuts in it there would be very much appreciated. Hopefully Foresail will see this and update the design. In conclusion, I will be buying another one of these for my son because he ain't getting this one. Plus I will be trying out more styles if Foresail knives. This one IMO is a little smaller as far as length is concerned. Stalker than what I'm used to but likely perfect for many. From what I've seen so far this company makes a very competitive product if not superior for it's price range.

Beautiful and sharp
I got this knife for my couboy husband. He loves it and carries it daily. Working on a feedlot, he uses it several times a day and so far the blade is holding up and is staying sharp. The color of the wood is beautiful. It is quality made and heavy in your hand. You don't feel like you are going to break it. Western and rustic

Could be my new favorite carry knife
I took a chance and purchased this knife noting the features that I found very desirable. The handle is a stunning wood with carving on the bolster that gives it an exotic look. The ball bearing assisted opening is simply as smooth as butter and makes opening nearly flawless. The knife feels like an extension of my hand with my fingers gripping automatically. The blade is megasharp out of the box with a convenient thumb hole. The icing on the cake is the lanyard hole on the end that came with a cool piece of leather. The liner lock is easy to use one-handed and ensures the blade stays fixed. The pocket clip is not too tight that it will ruin the pocket on your jeans from constant use. I was not disappointed for a second purchasing this well-made knife. I am considering another as a gift for my grandson. Put one in your cart.

knife feels very solid - no movement of the blade at all on sideways pressing or up-down
this is a solid made and very attractive knife - quite sharp - I will probably make it sharper - the motion on unfolding is excellent - all steel parts seem very high quality - the M390 blade steel is well reviewed - the handle is short - I am 6ft and 220 lb - my hand will allow 3 fingers around the handle but it is after all a pocket knife so OK with me - I would say it is worth 100$

This blade is awesome af
The sharpness, craftsmanship ship and weight are next level edc for under 100 bucks. My review is not very technical, but it doesn't matter. The knife is beautiful...I love it

Great looking knife but also razor sharp.
This knife keeps a sharp edge unlike any other knife I’ve purchase. Super easy to sharpen, but it keeps a sharp edge. I only do a light sharpening e EG couple of months but really don’t need to. All depends on what you use the knife to do. I wish I had this knee back when I was actively hunting

Folding Knife
I really like this knife, has a great edge, very comfortable design and it looks awesome. The only drawback is it is a bit heavy in your pocket but based on how cool the design is I got over that. I would recommend this to anyone as a nice gift.

Nice knife, horrible sticker on gift box
Received the knife. Beautiful. But to get to the point, the box it comes in which is a really nice box, has a huge "made in China" sticker stuck on it. Now there's nothing wrong with it being made in China as I've gotten many fine products there. My issue is a big ugly sticker stuck on the box. And when trying to remove, it takes half the box fabric with it. Didn't matter if the sticker said Germany, Sweden, USA or whatever. It comes with a really nice gift box that has this big ugly sticker attached. Lame! I bought two as gifts and it just cheapens this product.
