It does exactly what it says it will do. It is easy to set up. The only thing that could trick you is if your two chosen power points are on a 'different circuit' which will make this set useless to you.

This extender contains a DHCP Server that can NOT be disabled and breaks the network when it starts up randomly after power failures and other events. This is logged and described on thh TPLink forum "Home network community" under "Is there a hidden DHCP Server in Powerline adapters?" and has not been fixed since 11 May 2020, although TPLink admits the problem. This makes these extenders useless to me, and many others.Here is the TPLink response (note the problem has NOT been resolved) :Good day,Thank you very much for your kind feedback.We have already reported the feedback to the senior engineers.And Currently, we have the beta firmware for TL-WPA4220 v3/V4, TL-WPA7510 v2 to disable the DHCP server under the static IP address mode :For other models, like TL-WPA8630P, the firmware might still need some time.
