I am currently in the process of preparing myself for the gastric sleeve procedure. I haven't met with my physician yet to actually discuss this but I am leaning more towards the gastric sleeve than the RNY just because I feel it has fewer risks, complications, and malabsorption issues. I bought this book to educate myself a little more, and because it was HIGHLY recommended by the folks on my weight loss surgery support group online. After getting this book and looking it over, I'm super excited to jump in and start reading! At a wuick glance I'm very pleased to see there are extremely helpful images. I have always been the "learn by watching" type of person so to have illustrations is very nice. Also, I LOVE that this book has little quizzes at the end of the sections to make sure you're actually absorbing the information that you're reading. If not you can always go back and see where your issues were, reread and make sure you're ready for your procedure! While I still have a long, long way to go I believe this book will be a HUGE help in making my gastric sleeve a success in a big, big way! I am definitely pleased that I made this purchase, especially for the price. Every little bit of help counts and this, in my opinion, is going to be a HUGE help on educating myself and preparing for my journey ahead! Thank you so much for making this available to the public!! Such a wonderful learning tool!

Great secrets for success inside including personal thoughts which are based on breadth of experience and on point. Very generous sharing from author who genuinely seems to want us to succeed on our weight loss and maintenance journey.

This is the Best book out there, is well written in a logical order, with much priceless information, by a fantastic doctor who performs weight loss surgery, and follows up with his patients, i Highly recommend this book. It is paperback with print. And drawings that are easy to read. Well worth the cost.
