I have a 2000 ranger comanche with an evinrude 175 and im adding a hot foot. i want this too but do i need anything else with it to make it work?

Yep, you will need to buy a throttle cable that is the correct length. It will need to be a couple of feet longer than longer than the one in the boat now. A boat mechanic could give an idea of the necessary length for your type and model.

Does this system need an adapter to mount on a hydraulic pump?

Would like to help but need more info. This part fits on the steering column so unsure why the reference to a hydraulic pump.

Can it be installed on the left side of the steering column? The picture shows the trim up and down in logo only working on the right side.

the labels are to be sticked. They are decals. You can install it either side. If labels do not match for your installation, still wires will de the function you want
