Review: Junto con Norse Mythology, uno de los libros que más me ha gustado de Neil Gaiman. Review: You can't go wrong with Neil Gaiman (unless he writes for Doctor Who), this graphic novel about a boy who grows up in a cemetery, raised by loving ghosts and a vampire is exciting, eerie, touching, funny, and melancholic at the same time. Masterfully written and impressively implemented by great illustrators. Should not be missing in any comic collection.

I got this as a gift...and then it was a real wrench to give up: I'll have to buy one for me. The story follows the general idea of Kipling's Jungle Book, with the protagonist being a very-recently orphaned boy taken in and raised by the inhabitants of a graveyard, along with a transient-and-friendly vampire. This graphic novel cleaves closely to the book; any written description left out is amply filled in by the artwork--which is lavish and lovely and affecting. An unusual feature of this graphic novel is that the chapters are drawn by a variety of artists. This can be a bit jarring at times, as the faces and expressions of the characters change noticeably from one chapter to the next. Nevertheless, the overall theme and feel of the book is maintained throughout.
