Q: How much does it stabilize the wrist? And how is the grip of the hand?

There is a metal stay on both sides the complete way down so the wrist is unable to move while you are still able to pick up items up with your hand. I am very satisfied with this brace.

Q: Where are the splints located? I need something that stabilizes the right side (ulna wrist bone) of my right hand to prevent it from twisting around.

Top and bottom. I was wearing it after cast and it worked for me. My fracture was on the top of my wrist.

Q: Does this have a curved section at the hand end, and if so, does it go on top of the hand or under the hand (palm)?

Thank you for your question. There is a curved stay in the brace on the palm side of the hand.
