Q: Is this ok for a 12 year old to use as a backpack for carting around his books during the school year on his back?

I bought this specifically for security while traveling in Italy and France. Size is ok. If you want to store things separately e.g. plugs and wires, you need bags or boxes. The point of the bag is to prevent access to the goodies inside. There are two pockets on outside inaccessible while wearing.
