STILL NO 'FREED' (FROM CHRISTIANS POINT OF VIEW!!!!!!!!)' GRRRRRRRR!!!!!
How very disappointing! E L James has announced on TV that there might NOT be a 'FREED' from Christian Greys point of view book published! Maybe 'Christians points of view story' may not sell quite as many copies as the original Fifty Shades Freed but with the vast money earned from the publishing of these books I would have thought that E L JAMES would, at the very least, produce FREED, from Christians point of view story for her 'fans'. Personally, after reading 'Grey' and now 'Darker' I feel that the films really warranted Christians version of the story, because the film revolves entirely around Christians deeply troubled and horrific past, and way of life, also the inclusion of Flynn (his shrink) would have given a clearer insight into why, and just how desperately deep rooted Christians lifestyle has been and how the innocent, beautiful Anastasia eventually changes his way of thinking. He learns to love! Please don't think I didn't enjoy the 'Trilogy', it is a totally different love story to beat any other love stories. I found it fascinating, compelling and so very memorable. The movie; A sincere, dedicated portrayal in the movie, by to brilliant actors, Jamie and Dakota. I really do hope Christians story of 'Freed' 'WILL' be written.... so that the 'FANS'' can complete their collection!!! Considering the vast support by the fans and the after the huge fortunes made so far... YOU CANT LET YOUR FANS DOWN NOW....SURELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : PLEASE NOTE: E L JAMES!!!! GRRRRR!! STILL WAITING!!!!!!!!!!!! still no news on E L JAMES writing 'FREED' ' from Christians point of view!!!! (READ ABOVE) At least E L JAMES wont have to repeat the contract word for word in FREED. (a mistake last time, I think.) We need 'FREED' FROM CHRISTIANS POINT OF VIEW to complete our collection!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please don't disappoint your fans, COME ON E L JAMES....GET WRITING...... PLEASE!

Finally caught up with everyone else.....
A bit late to the FSOG party but saw the movies first recently which I think was the right way round for me. Films can never ever convey the complexities within a novel to everyone's satisfaction and this is certainly true for this trilogy plus the two from Mr Grey's POV which I ordered and read - couldn't put them down. Although the writing is not quite of Bronte, Austen or Hardy (!) quality the books are what they are - a thoroughly enjoyable read. Personally I liked Grey and Darker more although I also felt that Christian's relationship with Elena was given scant attention - given it's importance to his predilection perhaps more attention should have been given to this thread of the story. I hope there is a Christian viewpoint of Freed to finish off the story.

Great
I have loved and read all of these books from this series. It's how i got into my love for books. This story is Fifty Shades Darker but from Christian's point of view. When I first read Grey which is Fifty Shades Of Grey from Christian's point of view I felt it a little flat with not many feelings in it, although I enjoyed it I felt it could have been better. With Darker I felt E L James has put alot more thought into this book. You really feel for Christian as he battles with the many demons in his head. You get the feelings and strong emotions he feels and have more of an understanding why he does what he does, and feels incapable of love.In my opinion this book has been written better than previous books. But let's face it if your a fan of the books you will love it. X

The book from Christian's point of view is really good. It explains a bit more of why he's ...
My name is Diane Gunning and my husband Kevin who bought the books for me as I'd been given the first three by my daughter. The book from Christian's point of view is really good. It explains a bit more of why he's the way he is and shows the changes he made to keep Anastasia from leaving him by asking her to marry him.I felt a little let down as there isn't another book just to tie up all the loose ends as from Anastasia's point and with their married life together. That was my only criticism.Otherwise everything else was brilliant.Just for info, I had to reread the original books to get me up to speed.

Loved it!
Adore these books in general but thoroughly enjoyed them from Christians perspective. Darker is a really interesting read and we get to know Christian in a lot more detail here. You can’t help but want to hold him for his emotional turmoil but slap him for his overreaction. His commitment and love to Ana though is endearing.
