M-Audio BX4-120-Watt Powered Desktop Computer Speakers/Studio Monitors for Gaming, Music Production, Live Streaming and Podcasting (BX4 Pair)

The speakers sound good when they are working. But one speaker often doesn't play sound, and this is a major deal breaker. I've checked the cables and it's an internal wiring problem.

I really like this, for the price, it's great quality with really good sound quality and range! My only complaint is the Front Face Cover falls off after having used it since purchase.

Great product

First of all i brought this for production, but nit mix and master, only arrangement. but yea still i needed something good. I was on a tight budget, and after a lot of research i went for the bx4. i had heard a great review of the bx5. so i trusted m audio. and believe me, this is the best in this range. Great lows, mids everything. I mean in this price range, its the best. iam very happy i brought this

Amazing little speakers. Very full and rich sound for their size. I was pleasantly surprised. They have treble and bass control switches on the back, which is nice because you can get a richer sound. Too bad the controls weren't on the front. I run them with a usb DAC and a pre-amp though, so your mileage may vary, depending on your setup. I recommend raising the speakers to ear height for the best sound. This is the third pair of M-Audio speakers I've owned over the years. Unfortunately, they don't last forever. Hopefully these will last longer than the last ones I had, which lasted about 5 or 6 years.

They sound really good and have the key features required for a desktop system: Front panel On/Off/Volume control and headphone outlets. The Microphone input is a convenience, but probably won't be used for serious work. On the rear is the stereo RCA and 6.25mm connectors, so the speakers can be used for other functions, eg plugging in a keyboard or guitar. Also present are small Bass & Treble tone controls. A convenient feature is a switch to set the box with the controls as the left speaker or the right speaker, which allows for better flexibility in setup. To get better sound than what one gets from the computer built-in sound, I spent a measly $30 on a SoundBlaster USB to analogue converter, into which the speakers are plugged. The speakers could do with some kind of grill covering the drivers and really benefit from foam pads to sit on, which help reduce resonance and angle the speakers better (all speakers should have this)

Ben oltre le aspettative, mi hanno letteralmente lasciato a bocca aperta. Per poco più di 100 euro sono un must have per chiunque si voglia approcciare a dei monitor studio entry level o semplicemente per ascoltare musica. Poi m-audio è un ottimo marchio in ambiente audio, affidabile ed economico ma senza rinunciare alla qualità. Veniamo alle caratteristiche: woofer da 4.5" e tweeter da 1" perfetti per piccoli ambienti, anzi non riuscirete ad andare neanche a metà con la manopola del volume, talmente i db che sprigionano, e non sto esagerando. Sul davanti entrata aux e uscita cuffie. Sul retro 2 rca sbilanciate, 2 ingressi 6.3 bilanciati, line out per lo speaker passivo e regolazioni high-low, nonché la levetta left right per la stereofonia. Riguardo al suono, hanno nella loro forza i medio-alti, sufficientemente chiari e nitidi, mentre se vogliamo proprio trovare un difetto, i bassi sono leggermente impastati e meno precisi, ma viste le dimensioni del woofer è normale sia così, comunque sono ben presenti. Rispondo anche a due critiche che vengono mosse a questi speaker, nelle altre recensioni: non scaldano, almeno i miei, nonostante la stagione estiva e le temperature elevate, né tantomeno la cassa attiva suona più forte di quella passiva, anzi il volume è equilibrato, nonostante appunto non siano bi-amplificate.
