Q: Want to use to take my African grey Congo parrot on vacation for a few days is this good for that

A lot of people said that is what they use it for. I did not like it for my Grey because it is not very high. It is longer than high. I wanted him to have good head room. The bars are also kind of loose. It's pretty cheaply made. My bird is a bit mischievous and I thought that once he became comfortable he would have a hay day with it. Others say it's great. I did not feel it was the right cage for him so I returned it with no problem.

Q: Can this be easily broken down and reassembled?

We never broke it down. My sons said it was a pain putting together. However, I do like it. I keep in my car almost like a baby seat. We take it out when we visit friends or relatives. She stays in there until she feels safe to come out. Great for long rides.

Q: is bar spacing small enough for lovebird to not escape?

Yes! This cage is perfect for a love bird.
