Incandescent reverse and brake lights have been the automotive equivalent of using a candle when a flashlight exists for decades now and LED replacements like the AUXITO 3157 are the easy fix that should have happened at the factory. Dropped these in and the difference versus the stock bulbs is not subtle — it's the kind of improvement that makes you wonder how you drove with the originals for as long as you did. Direct 3157 socket fit means this is a plug and play swap with no wiring, no resistors, no adapter harness. Pull the old bulb, push the new one in, done. The cross compatibility list covering 4157, 3156, 3056, 3057, 3047, 4057, 3457, and 4114 applications means these cover a wide range of exterior lighting positions across multiple vehicle makes without hunting down position-specific bulbs. Brightness on the reverse lights is the most immediately noticeable improvement — backing up at night went from "hoping nothing is behind me" to actually illuminating what's back there with enough light to matter. Brake light visibility improvement is the safety upgrade that pays dividends in traffic without anyone behind you having to question whether your brakes are actually applied. Brilliant, bright white. I can actually SEE when backing up in the dark! I will never not replace my reverse lights with these or similar from now on. The difference is like night and day!

I deliver newspapers for a living, and as part of the job I am often backing into/out of driveways and executing tight turn-around maneuvers in the dark. Being able to see is "kinda" important. While the factory incandescent bulbs of my '99 Jeep Cherokee were good, I was searching for something better. Being that my vehicle is wired using the "CK Method," I needed to make sure any LED replacements were compatible with this wiring system. (LED bulbs that are incompatible will blow fuses immediately, so it's definitely something buyers need to be aware of.) These Auxito LED bulbs ARE compatible with both "Standard" and "CK" wiring, and are designed to eliminate the need to check proper polarity - in other words, these bulbs will work no matter which way you install them into your sockets, on the first try. It takes more circuit design know-how and electronic components to achieve this, so I appreciate the extra thought and production costs invested - Auxito could have taken the cheapest route to maximize profits, but they didn't. According to what I've been able to glean from the item description, these bulbs are not compatible with vehicles that use CANBUS. I don't have any vehicles that use CANBUS communications, so I cannot verify - however, there is a CANBUS-compatible version from Auxito; if you have a vehicle that uses CANBUS, I would highly suggest you choose that bulb instead. (Unsure if your vehicle uses CANBUS to determine if a bulb is out? You might want to consult a repair shop, preferably a dealer that sells your car's make because their Service department should know that.) I've had them installed in my Jeep for several months now, and the difference is almost mind-blowing! Bright, crisp "pure" white (not that bluish-tinted "cooler" color temperature) that illuminates everything behind me very well. I don't see any odd "hot" or "cold" spots in the light output, as is common with some other brands. I have seen no drop in total light output over time (LEDs get dimmer if they're being "pushed" too close to the "limit"), and believe me when I say my backup lights easily see 10x the use an average driver will subject them to. I have not installed these bulbs in a place where they see constant operation (parking lamp/turn signal or tail/brake) but I feel pretty confident in saying they'd be a great upgrade for those applications as well. I'm quite impressed with these bulbs, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for brighter illumination when reversing - or, if you're converting your car to all-LED for the aesthetic and want an amazing bulb for your reverse lights. In fact, I'm so impressed with these bulbs, I'm about to add another two-pack to my cart to replace incandescent reverse lights in my mother's '07 Grand Caravan, a vehicle that SERIOUSLY needs brighter reverse lights due to the factory window tint.

I like them so far. They are very bright. I picked these as the wattage was 5 watts which was higher than the cheaper competitors. So I know that they would be brighter bulbs and I like the larger focused lens on the front. Projector quality I don't know yet, I will when it starts getting darker earlier. In the mean time they appear to be a little more 'rugged' if you can use that term on such a thing,. So, I purchased 2 sets of 2 and updated my 20 year old Cub Cadet model 2116 garden tractors incandescent bulbs at the same time. For both and many other garden tractors or riding lawn mower type smaller ride ons it was 'an exact pop right in' fit for the standard 1156 bulbs and sockets. Time will tell if they can stand the vibration. Brightness? Measured with my iPhone app they come out with about 7600 lumins vz 2600 lumins comparing to 1156 incandescent bulbs. The stock Cadet LED pack suck so bad its not worth even comparing them. Needless to say the Cub leds are considerably less bright. And they failed after less that 50 hours on the thing. Ay over $50 from cub cadet, no I don't think so. Come'on man! It's JUST a light bulb! Anyway, you need to get the snap right in sockets for standard bulbs which are readily available. For $10 for each bulb the leds are about 4 times as bright as standard incandescent 1156 bulbs. That's just a comparative reading measuring about 4" directly infront if the tractors light covers, same spot for each type of bulb. Noone can really trust seller ratings on bulb brightness but.... these babies are bright. Can't look directly at them at all. It's like looking into a cars headlight. Can't wait for darkness tonight for a cold lager and a little nighttime tractor ride! Would I buy again ? Right now, yes but that will always be contingent upon whether they last at least a year. BTW. About all these BS LED claims that they last what ? 10,000 hours or whatever... realize it may not be the actual LED that dies buy the cheep as dirt crappy electronics controlling the LED that WILL nearly always FAIL first. Just say'n man. So.... I just put them in but, so far so good. I'll add to this if anything changes.

Light bulbs did cause some hyper flash issues but they are nice and bright and they seem to be lasting a decent amount of time so far compared to the other ones I bought that only lasted a year. These are lasting a lot longer. They are a little bit more money, but I think they’re worth it. Installation was easy no problems there nice crisp amber light.

These have been great ever since I put them in. I couldn’t see anything when backing up due to the tint on my windows but these are different story. Would definitely recommend and buy again for another vehicle.

I got these bulbs for my 2012 Toyota Yaris license plate and they are a massive upgrade. Installation was super fast, just plug and play in under 5 minutes with a perfect fit. The light is a very clean, crisp white and way brighter than the stock halogens. They don't flicker at all and make the car look much more modern. Without a doubt, I will be buying them again.

Been using as reverse lights. Had one start to flicker, and shortly after totally fail with just over three years use. For the price and improved output over OE halogen bulbs, I’ll probably just order another pair.

These bulbs were easy to install and are insanely bright.

Running these in an older Ford pickup. Noticeable difference in brightness over the old incandescent bulbs. I did have to wire in resistors to get the signals to work properly, even with an electronic flasher relay.
