exactly what I was looking for.

This book is written quite differently than other trail guides I've been reading. Instead of focusing on facts and figures, each trip is told in the Arizona Highways magazine's style of elegant prose.As a result, it almost reads more like a well-written trip diary than a guidebook. It's maybe a little down on directions, and I'd love more information about road/trail conditions (dropped a star for these two quibbles), but the style makes it flow very well.This is a better book for planning at home than taking out in the dirt because of the format.What I really like is that we're not focusing on the trails here, but rather what you can see off the beaten path. Many of the trips fall mainly on B-highways rather than dirt of any kind, and that makes this a great place to start planning that family day-trip.

Lots of excellent options for a two wheel drive vehicle.

This is a really great book if you want to get out and see some friendly offroad adventures. It is really cool to discover new areas that you wouldn't have thought of without this book. I really like the pictures and the info.

Ordering in this manner was a first time experience for this old wanderer and I found the process very easy and painless. Though I've already done a few of the trips, I'm looking forward to some of these excursions this season.

Very much enjoyed the articles as well as the places to visit. Author has a fun style to read. And offers some very good suggestions for drives one wouldn't have ordinarily thought of.

Very interesting. Roads to a few famous and some you have never heard about. All appear to be worth the trip. Great and practical book.

We took it with us on our trip to Arizona with our fifthwheel. We are seniors and like places we have not traveled.
