We have both a leaf rake net that can capture large amounts of leaves and a leaf skimmer that recently snapped in half after a couple seasons of use.This leaf skimmer fits the bill perfectly.I use the leaf skimmer right before we get into the pool to get the last bit of anything out of the pool, I like skimmers because they are lighter, don't have as much drag as a net full of leaves and this is extremely light and super quick to grab and skim whenever we need.I don't know about longevity yet, but chlorine and sun always do a number on anything made of plastic.

This is a must have tool for my koi/water garden. Nice skimmer, very lightweight. Not sure why reviews are so hard on this thing. It's not for leaves or bigger debris. It's for skimming the surface to get floating dirt and insects. You don't need a heavy duty pole for what what this net is intended for. When you skim with a deep bag to get bigger debris and leaves, that's when you want a more robust pole. No complaints here. 5-Stars.

I thought I'd get a head-start on pool season and order this one. It was a mistake.Pros: - nice sized net head which does fish out debris - handle easy to build - breaks into enough small pieces for simple storageCons: - very thin handle - handle not robust when put together - bends with little weight - netting damaged at arrival thanks to bad packagingThe head of the net is a cheap construction but no worse than any other cheap net found in the usual retail store. It does have a nice size and fishes stuff easily from the surface. However, it was damaged when it arrived, since the company places the handle pieces on the net for packaging. The edges of these pieces digs and rubs into the netting during shipping (unavoidable).The handle is a complete disappointment. While the idea of having several smaller pieces connect together is great for storage and changing sizes, the metal used is thin and the overall diameter is small (even smaller than the cheap ones I buy at the store). The entire thing is already wiggly after putting it together, and the slightest weigh makes it start to arc. I'm afraid to really put much tension on it because I highly doubt it will hold. I expect this to last at the most a week or two for our small pool cleanings before it snaps.

Good pool skimmer. I was worried the handle would fee flimsy since there were so many smaller pieces secured together but I don’t notice much difference from the one I currently have. The netting seems to be good quality and it’s getting the job done!

This is a great pool net to catch and remove lost items or unwanted things from the water.The design includes an extra small net pattern, which allow plant matter and bugs to be easily scooped out with the net.Additionally, this includes a sturdy pole to hold it, with several extenders, do it can be used for a small pool or even to extend 10 or 15 feet outward.Highly recommended.

This is a review for the MENG ZHI AO Swimming Pool Leaf Net Skimmer with 48" Attachable Aluminum Pole.On the plus side, it’s lightweight and easy to put together. We have a pool and my husband is the “pool guy” so he gets fussy about these things.He does like the skimmer, but says it’s fine for light leaf/debris cleanup that’s fairly close to the edge/surface. We are not sure how sturdy this is but we’ve been using it for a little while and it’s been fine.So it’s not the best tool for a pool, but it’s probably fine for a spa. We just wish the net were a little deeper.
