Looks awesome in my Lexus
I purchased this for my other vehicle so I can switch my 0805 between cars. I have both vehicles hardwired with the Arpenkin Micro USB Hard-Wire Kit for the Mini 0805....This makes for a very clean install, and with the stick-on windshield camera base its really all out of site-out of mind so to speak. Windshield-suction-cup mounts (for anything) are simply hideous and can be dangerous...My 0805 is mounted along side my Escort Redline Radar Detector with the Blendmount rear-view-mirror mount. Works just like the original!
In short: this product is exactly the same GPS mount that comes with the GPS-enabled version of the Mini 0805 camera, and it mostly works well! I bought this to put in my other vehicle, so I can detach and bring the camera with me.The mount comes with a pre-applied foam double-sided sticker for attaching to the windshield. The adhesive is fairly strong such that there's no chance of the camera falling off the windshield even on a very bumpy ride, but it's not impossible to remove. Another alternative is to attach it to a suction-cup phone mount if you absolutely need to move the camera mount around. But they're cheap enough that I would just buy an additional one if needed.The GPS mount is usually able to pick up a GPS signal reliably, but struggles a bit with drop outs on extremely overcast days. With GPS enabled on the Mini 0805, it records your current coordinates in a text file and as an overlay over the video feed, along with your vehicle speed.Overall, I would definitely recommend this GPS enabled mount for the Mini 0805!
