Might be a good product; just needs human factors work to make ...
I only hope I got the refund promised.... Instructions in German; lacked critical part(s)? Never worked. Might be a good product; just needs human factors work to make it usable. A pity if for want of the last 5 yards, Mindfield has, at least for this person, been a mine field.

Wonderful device
Excellent biofeedback device. Have used it daily for migraine headaches for about 4-5 months. Easy to use. I plan to incorporate into my practice as a Physical Therapist for chronic pain conditions and sympathetic dominant individuals.

Great Biofeedback Device for Simple Application
As a clinical psychologist and a long-time migraine sufferer, I've been interested in finding a simple biofeedback device I could try at home to help reduce headaches. Give the literature supporting the use of thermal biofeedback as a migraine treatment, I have been searching for a simple device to monitor and provide feedback on the temperature in my fingers. So far, this little device does the trick! Shipping was very quick, and the item arrived in excellent condition ready for me to use. Set-up was easy, and I was able to start using this device with the app on my iPhone right away. The product is simple, and in some ways that makes it a joy to use. With the cable plugged into your phone or iPad, open the app, and hold the sensor between your fingers. Then watch the graph on the screen to see if you are able to increase the temperature in your fingers. So far the readings I'm getting seem to be accurate, and I've been able to see the temperature in my extremities increase as I practice relaxation exercises. The data on the screen is really encouraging and helps me figure out if what I'm doing is working. I do wish the app came with built-in exercises to use as you try to warm your hands. However, it does come loaded with a video, and you can add your own videos to use for relaxation. At $100, it may seem a little pricey for a cable and thermometer, but given the cost of biofeedback with a professional, this is a steal! This is not a bells-and-whistles biofeedback machine, but it's not intended to be. It's a simple, well-executed, easy-to-use product for home use. If you're willing to practice on your own and put in some effort to find relaxation exercises to use with this device, it's a great purchase!

This is a great biofeedback app!
This is a very fine piece of biofeedback hardware and software. I'm a licensed psychologist and have used biofeedback clinically for over 25 years. I've got the eSense temperature and the GSR devices and have thoroughly tested the functionality of both. WOW!! This is an amazing app, beautiful and easy to use. The ability to select your own music or video, alter what the sound does for negative feedback (all the way off or any percent quieter), plus the excellent bar and line graph displays offer a level of function, simplicity and clarity that is as good or better than professional biofeedback systems costing much, much more. Maximizing the video with a double tap gives a really beautiful display, particularly on the iPad.The instructions don't mention that you use a "pinch" motion to de-maximize the movie, so remember to do that or you'll think you're stuck in the video. Make sure the sensor is plugged all the way in, and remember you'll have to use headphones or external speakers plugged into the eSense jack to hear music. The system is effective on the iPhone and even more stunning on the iPad. It even has the ability to export data to your email, so you can track your progress in Excel if you want. I'd recommend this to anyone interested in learning self-regulation. If you are a licensed professional interested in getting into biofeedback, this is a fine way to start learning. Then consider getting certified by the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (bcia.org), which provides certification and a detailed process for you to follow and become certified. If you are using this to help treat significant anxiety, migraines or blood pressure problems you should get help with applying the technology properly from a licensed professional who uses biofeedback. If you just want to learn to relax a bit more deeply, while getting concrete evidence of your progress, enjoy it!
