Great little handheld sewing machine for smaller, simpler sewing tasks (for a good price)
Too many small sewing jobs piling up around the house and we needed something to help out. Searched online and eventually found this Singer Stitch Quick. Battery operated, handheld, has an actual bobbin, and the online, well-made video instructions via YouTube was the final selling point. The included printed instructions are OK, decent quality, BUT the online training videos have been all the difference between defeat and victory for getting all the pants around here finally hemmed in a presentable way. We would recommend that you practice on some throw away materials before trying on your vintage pieces! It is a little finicky at first, but once you get the hand of it, it works good enough (for us).Is it a substitute for an expensive floor machine? Well, no, but we don't have room for that, nor do we need that apparently for what we are doing.Ours came with all the parts and has worked great on several small jobs, AND most importantly, didn't cost us an arm and a leg.

Good for only one use.
Not worth the money. Used this once for sheer curtains and worked great. Tried to use it again to make scrub caps out of also thin material and it quit working and will not stitch. I have tried every YouTube video and reddit thread I could find for trouble shootings and someone rightfully called it closer to a toy than a tool.

oly worked with electrical power and does not come with power adaptor.
only works with electrical power, battery operation did not work and it does not come with the power adapter. Read instructions completely table top fuction mode is hard to control, the needle is in constant motion. Not a Toy , not suitable for a child to use. threading is a pain, and i would replace teh thread with your own the thread provided breaks easlily so you are constanly having to re thread the machine. whith some pratice the stiches are smooth and even over all it did the job.

Highly recommended
It does everything I wanted to do. Very compact and very easy to use. Putting thread through the seven step process is a little challenge.

Good for basics seeing job
I have a regular sewing machine but sometimes I am too lazy to set it all up, so I brought this to do quick projects. In a pinch it works but it is also a much more pain in the butt to use.The opening is maybe a quarter of an inch, so to slip something like a zipper through it is really challenging. And how the thread tension works, when you finish sewing and go to cut the thread, you have to pull it to the side cutter and because of the tension, you will either break the tread, or when you get it cut it will spring back and pop out of the eye hole. I’ve had to retread that thing a million times after each run. The only way to avoid it for me is to take the thread out of the spring thing, pull it up and leave 4 inches of thread and cut with scissors. And the reason you go through these extra steps is because the machine is so rigid and small, you need a threader thing to get the thread back in the eyehole. Because of the angles, it’s not like a regular sewing machine where I just use my eyes and fingers and run it back through, this thing is nearly impossible without a little threader device. It is handy for something like sewing a buckle strap back on a bbq pit cover by walking to the pit and sewing it on there on site vs removing the cover and taking it inside and setting up the big machine.

Old dude gets his first sewing machine
Purchased this for a hobby that isn't clothing. Over the years I would simply hand stitch stuff as necessary. But, being an uber gadget-guy, I finally asked myself why I was spending and hour hand stitching when a machine would do it in a minute. This handheld Singer Stitch Quick+ is an awesome gadget.Out of the box it was fully assembled, threaded and apparently tuned. There was scrap piece of cloth still inserted in the foot which suggests that it was tested before shipping. My first try at machine stitching was successful but clearly the work of an amateur. A couple more practice runs and I was starting to impress myself.Nevertheless, while the included instructions are comprehensive, I found the wording difficult to easily understand. There are some good instructional videos available online and they were quite helpful when in comes to threading, spooling, how to use the accessories etc. Accessories included attachments for bobbin winder and spool extender, a threader, extra needles and two extra bobbins (white and black thread).I like this little machine and while I don't need to stitch all that often, my chore will definitely be more easily and quickly accomplished.

Not happy
I had hopes. After all, its Singer. But no. It worked okay for the first hour...then the nightmare started. First, the thread tensioner is garbage. Even all the way loose, it holds the thread too tight! On top of that, the included thread is also total garbage, I have spent more time (AND THREAD!) having to rethread the machine because the thread broke (and that's without even using the useless tensioner! While stiching, the poor thing chokes and skips frequently for no reason that I can see. Also, when trying to begin stiching, the motor isn't strong enough to get things moving. I have to pull up on the presser foot for a moment to get the machine to start moving. All these issues are while using the recommended ac adapter...(I dont dare trying to use batteries after all this!) This is my second machine, because the first had to be returned because it wouldn't work at all! I am so unhappy that I wasted my money on this.

One project leads to many
This is a handy little sewing machine. I used it to repair some cargo pants that had a pocket torn open. this pocket machine handled it like a champ and VERY VERY quickly. The build quality is fair and has a lot of goodies if you trying sewing out for the first time. Having experience in sewing already this machine does not let you ease into the power. its all on or off. along with the handheld feature or desktop setting. for me not a problem I'm all go anyways. The biggest knock I have on this item is that it needs 4 AA batteries or a barrel power plug that is not included. otherwise this thing can get you out of a pinch for a tight spot on pants or shirts.
