Propper USMC MARPAT ILBE Pack

By the reviews of the dust cover I thought I was buying a used cover/surplus. Photos show a legit issue dust cover and not a reproduction. Upsides dust cover fits. Downsides Marpat camo is off. Pattern Sizing and color are off. Rather of received surplus but this will do until I am able to find surplus one.

Like the title says, the closure is my issue with this pouch. It does have compression straps along the top to close it (3 straps) But it leaves huge gaps for smaller items to slip out of, also at the bottom corners there are also slits/openings that can also allow smaller items to slip out. As for the top closure, I will be adding snaps to close it with, and I might add some velcro or mesh for the bottom openings to remedy that as well. Overall for the price and the additional storage for a marpat ILBE bag it is not all bad.

Would have rated higher but for the shipping..... Ordered 5 bags at 50 cents each and was stabbed with high shipping charge per piece. Cost was then around $5.00 per bag. Very poor sales policy to my way of thinking. Should have had a better rate for quanityof 5 or more.However, that being said, I sewed the bottom sides of three bags shut and use another bag for the material to make a flap for two. Some velcro and I now have a useful bags to use with the ILBE system that I can attach where it normally does and other can be stored in the pack to keep your gear together.

The description is not accurate to the product you receive (the picture is though). The description says that it has PALS webbing attachment points on both the top and bottom. The product received only has the PALS webbing on the top. The product is in great condition there are no holes, rips, or tears. The product was clean and not faded at all. This is definitely the GEN 1 pack cover not the GEN 2. Over all I am satisfied with the products quality and condition. I just don’t like being lied to and that is why I am only giving three stars.

I wanted a brand new top flap to go with the new ILBE main bag that I had purchased earlier. I didn't shop, so I paid much more than I should have for this top flap, but at least it was brand new, as advertised. The USMC ILBE rucksacks are excellent packs, and having one in new condition means that I'll have a piece of equipment that will likely out last me.

It fits, price was reasonable and it’s made in the USA

Just as advertised, no observable wear on mine. Fit right into my ILBE pack, and together with an assault pack clipped onto the back it's quite the setup. Beefy, but I call that a good thing. Hip belt is a must for any pack.
